Headed to Iowa

Headed to Iowa first weekend in June. Yes, headed there on purpose. Good friend is competing in Strongman Nationals so we figured to take some time afterwards to explore on our way back home to PA.

I found a GPX file of a semi-Trans Iowa Trail but wasn't sure if there was anything close to Des Moines (and headed east).

Anyone have any suggestions for B class roads? At least any non-pavement roads?

Here's a link to an Iowa road trip website that has some b roads. Not much more though here in Iowa. These are short roads so don't get too excited.

He's in the old guy division (aka Masters) so it gives me hope I can still compete in a decade...

I read this too. Those walls are very cool!

Unfortunately, most of them are very west of Des Moines. Maybe we can swing by these on our next trip to Colorado or Moab...
