  1. Metalcloak Front Track Bar and Yukon Diff Cover

Yeah, I have left mine alone right now. It is slowly wearing a spot on each component, lol. May try to swap to a different diff cover soon.
  2. Metalcloak Front Track Bar and Yukon Diff Cover

Mine is hitting. Running an AEV 2.5" DualSport kit with the geo correction brackets. Was running the Yeti SteerSmarts HD Trackbar and it was hitting worse. Thought swapping to a smaller diameter bar would help. It does, but it is still hitting. Anyone else experience this issue? I assume I...
  3. 2" mopar lift vs 2.5" AEV Dual Sport

My driveway has a slight downward slope right there, so the front suspension is extended just a bit.
  4. 2" mopar lift vs 2.5" AEV Dual Sport

So far I enjoy my AEV kit. Yes, there is more rake to it, but towing or hauling anything in the bed helps that out and doesn't make it nose high when doing so. And I have not had any issues yet with having rake and making it over obstacles, lol. Here are two pics with a Rubicon with the 2.5"...
  5. 2020 Overland Rear Diff Issues

First of all, sadly, my issue still is not resolved. Long story short I still have a noise from about 50-60 mph. I took it to another shop that I have used many times before for axle and driveline issues to have them pull things apart and inspect everything. They have done work for me a few...
  6. AEV Dual Sport Lifts - what else is needed

The 2.5" Dual Sport kit should come with everything you need, outside of the steering damper upgrade. When I did mine, they did not have the new HD springs ready for market. I still think I would have gone with the standard rear springs as I don't usually have huge weight in the bed. Its a...
  7. 2020 Overland Rear Diff Issues

Well, at least the shop you are working with is similar to mine. I know it's costing them time and labor to try and get a solution for me. I really hope we don't have to go the Dana 60 route as I know what those things cost! But at this point I don't want to go down the road of a replacement...
  8. 2020 Overland Rear Diff Issues

We are in the same boat my friend. It looks like you and I have the bad axles. Shop I am working with has been pretty accommodative. Long story short, they are swapping my axle out with another stock axle removed from an almost 0 mile Gladiator. The bad part about all this is, that since...
  9. 2020 Overland Rear Diff Issues

I seem to be in the middle of this hell now as well. Have been working on this "harmonic noise" since about June myself. I'm on my second set of yukon 4.88s. First set was pulled and said to have "excessive wear", more so than should be expected at 200 miles in. Yukon replaced under...
  10. What Overland Trailer do you tow?

Here is our setup. Super lightweight. This is a Dinoot trailer (https://compactcampingstore.com/products/dinoot-m-series-tub-kits) that I picked up used from an aircraft maintenance tech in Florida. He meticulously built it out, even using the same flooring they use as the floor in an...
  11. Time to play "What's That Noise?!?!?!"

Following along here instead of starting my own thread. My hunch is that it is coming from the Yukon gears. I have a '21 rubi with a 2.5" AEV lift and 37" KO2s. I have been to Moab and back, as well as to Indiana and back (I live in GA) on the stock 4.10s. No issues other than hunting a...
  12. Dealer Accessories

He uses the Gtechniq line of products for coatings.: https://gtechniq.com/product-category/auto/ceramic-coatings/ I believe we went with the Exov4 for my application. He seemed to think there was no reason to go with the Crystal as I really did not need/want show car worthy detail. Mainly...
  13. Dealer Accessories

I am now a believer in ceramic coating. But I believe its best to find a good detailer that does their research and will stand behind the products they use and the work they do. There are a ton of products out there and from what I have learned from my detailer, some ceramics don't like other...
  14. Moved up to 37s, now have vibration?

Ouch! Hopefully they will make things right for you. I honestly think it was just a bad batch of Nittos. They balanced fine on the machines, so I think it was more of a tread flaw with the road at certain speeds. Just a vibration and not a wobble etc. Similar to a cupping feeling/sound at...
  15. Moved up to 37s, now have vibration?

Just got back from a cross county trip to Moab. Roughly 4,000 miles total. The BFG rode and performed great, no complaints. I ran roughly 16 PSI on the trails and 32 PSI on the road. Did both Fins and Things as well as Hell's Revenge. Only a couple of beauty marks on the rear bumper and the...
  16. Moved up to 37s, now have vibration?

Looks good. Sad to know that we got a bad batch of Ridge Grapplers. Really wanted to run them. But the more I think about it, the BFG KO2s are much lighter and a 37 spare fits just fine under the bed whereas the Nitto would not have. The Nitto weighs in at 81.48 lbs whereas my D rated BFG...
  17. Vibration from 20-25 mph on 37s, common issue?

Since I was having a similar issue, I decided to swap over to BFG KO2s. Vibration issue completely gone. It is 100% an issue with the ridge grappler tread blocks. Honestly, I think they just have a bad batch and sadly we were the recipients.
  18. Moved up to 37s, now have vibration?

Swapped to the KO2s this morning at Discount Tire. Smooth as glass. Need to get them up to 70mph or so, but I don't expect anything. Smooth up to 45 mph. There was just something about those Nittos that just was off. I am thinking maybe it was a bad batch of tires that were produced. I...
  19. Moved up to 37s, now have vibration?

Update from today: Went by discount. We decided (well I decided) to swap the nittos for bfg KO2s. Never really had any issues with those. Really wanted to have the hybrid tire, but didn’t really want an MT. Took all I had not to go KM3, but for what I will probably be doing with the gladiator...
  20. Moved up to 37s, now have vibration?

Not really, its a pretty definitive vibration/tread noise from 22-30. It seems there a quite a few here that have the same issue with the same time. They have some tread feel at 70 mph but are generally pretty smooth at that speed. I thought about just dealing with it and seeing if it goes...
