Mine is hitting. Running an AEV 2.5" DualSport kit with the geo correction brackets. Was running the Yeti SteerSmarts HD Trackbar and it was hitting worse. Thought swapping to a smaller diameter bar would help. It does, but it is still hitting. Anyone else experience this issue? I assume I just need to swap to a different cover, but I figured most may be just as beefy as the Yukon one. Would hate to swap back to a stock cover at this point.

Poison Spyder covers are plenty beef without being bulky like many others.

You can probably rule out too much wheelbase since you only have brackets and a track bar.

I’d go back to a stock diff cover or a diff cover with just a lower skid.

I have this exact setup and i'm getting some contact too.

When I put my control arms on we pushed the front axle forward 1/4". I figure backing off the front control arms a bit will fix this

Yeah, I have left mine alone right now. It is slowly wearing a spot on each component, lol. May try to swap to a different diff cover soon.

Update.

i adjusted my control arms enough that there’s no contact on road but a bunch off road with the sway bars disconnected

thinking I’m going to grind the cover down. I reached out to Yukon and they said this

“The cover varies in thickness from about 1/4" at the very thinnest parts to a little over 1/2" in the majority of the face, and as thick as 3/4 in some of the corners and the boss's.”

Wonder if the Dana iron covers have an issue? It’s their axle and steering gear after all…

The cast webbing appears to be a little different on the front.

I have the Dana covers with the stock linkage. Plenty of clearance. The only thing the Dana covers hit are rocks.

Now I have to go and take a look at it tomorrow. Damn you.
I hate how low that sucker sits! Also, do you think your cover would get away with upgrading the tie rod diameter with one of the aftermarket heavier duty units?

I'll report back tomorrow after I take a look at the pan, and see how much clearance there is with the diff and the linkage.

Ok........I took a look at the oil pan and tranny pan. Everything is fine. No dents in either one.

The Dana diff cover. Have about 2.25" of clearance between the stock tie rod and cover.

Now......if you follow the rib up from the 2 fill holes The stock track bar has been hitting on the top radius of the rib. Looks like if I grind down that section of the rib. i should have enough clearance. I'll do that when I install my lift with a Core 4x4 track bar.
