Speaking about the temp only, yes, I suspect not much.
I don't have access to an EGR map to confirm whats the schedule but there's a tuning thread where people cloned their ECU. They would have access to their maps to confirm how things really work from factory config at least. Once a tuner got...
Focusing on temps what you should observe in a situation where EGR is off/malfunctioning is:
- Low load: Engine temperatures rise (more O2, less inert gas), but coolant temperatures might decrease slightly due to the EGR cooler being inactive.
- High load: No major effect, since EGR is...
So I already have a kit dating from last year or something that looks similar to what is on aliexpress when I search for what you suggested @rharr. What's new to me is that it might work on locked ECUs. So that's great :)
Thanks!
can you send a link again when you have a chance? This one is not working. Especially I’m interested to test the claim that it can clone a tuned ECU as this is one of the things holding me off even considering it.
thanks you!
Motobilt is coming up with those; looking at it, it'll be bright since they use baja design S1 (at least for the bottom one).

I’d love for someone to try. My understanding is that the OEM security key was found via some attack on the original hardware. Then most tuning company leverage this for the bench flash were they’re now capable of providing the right key based on the seed, which wouldn’t be possible without...
Most tuners will lock the PCM after tuning it so that you can’t do that. That’s how much they love you. I’m not saying it’s impossible to copy, but, pretty shitty thing to do nonetheless as it complicate things way over what most people would be Able to commit to.
They’d guard the “mall crawler” build in the first picture against door dings. And it’s right on the budget and price point for many guys not wanting more. So that’s awesome. But the advertisement I agree with the general sentiment the product marketing should reflect that. Otherwise you’ll get...
Now that's a thoughtful review. Thank you for taking the time to put it together.
I don't know why the market is filled with what I'd qualify half-finished product sold for the full price. Maybe it's on us buying whatever, but reviews like this help counterbalance this a bit. For a few pieces...
I don’t *need* them, but I scratched up mine with rocks and everything. Either I repaint them or I can swap them out. If you can’t get rid of them I can give them a second life for $50. Probably more expensive than a can of pain, but my painting job usually sucks. I’m local too.
Cheers ?
I did not *initially*. Then I depleted the battery somehow and now I’ve charged it back I do have one. If anyone knows how to get rid of that. Otherwise it’ll be a dealer trip..
Reason I would say send it back is the small pins that are now missing on the broken part, they’re used by the mating connector to guide, and then lock the connector in place. I wouldn’t want that to be lose or just mess up pins or main loom connector due to misaligned pins and a bit too much of...
