I think it looks awesome, and nice find!
I did the same thing with my JT. I wanted a specific combination of options (manual, brown seats, Rubicon, safety packages) that were hard to find a year ago.
Found my JT out of state and used with low mileage and it had a couple problems in the...
I grew up there. Maybe we know each other? Ha ha.
Was reading this thread and researching cell boosters. Didnāt expect to see a discussion about Yuengling! BTW still canāt get it here in Colorado, but Iām guessing someday they will push farther west.
I have a ā21 JT Rubicon with the manual transmission.
For stop/start, it stops the engine if you take your foot off of the clutch. It will start the engine again once you put your foot back on. There are some parameters about when stop/start will be active, so like if the engine is cold or...
I re-read the posts in this thread and I donāt think anyone appears to be āup in armsā about this, but I do think itās a valid concern given the news about GM and other companies working with companies that provide insurance companies with risk profiles about individuals, when then can be used...
If you want to stay in an established campground, the campgrounds along Hwy 128 are nice, like Goose Island and Big Bend. Note that these are run by the Forest Service (I think?) so they have pit toilets and arenāt like a KOA-style campgrounds. But they are along the river.
Iāve also stayed...
You can buy the RUBICON decal, so if you remove it and regret it, you can buy another one and put it back on.
I bought my JTR used and the previous owner took the decal off. I drove it around as a āstealthā Rubicon for awhile but then added the sticker back because I like the way it looks.
$195/hour at a shop near me in Golden, CO.
Heard a rumor that another popular 4x4 shop in Englewood, CO is at $200/hour, but I donāt know that for sure as Iāve never had work done there.
The article forgot to mention difficulties when towing with an F-150 Lightining ā terrible range, and then you have to stop to charge at chargers that are not optimized for a vehicle towing a trailer so the trailer has to be disconnected and put somewhere else before charging.
I have a ā21 Rubicon with the 6-speed manual.
Iām not new to manual transmissions but I had some trouble getting used to the clutch on mine and stalled it a couple times. I thought maybe there was something wrong with me. Iāve found that turning OFF the hill assist helped a lot, as I actually...
In terms of Jeeps, Iāve either had or have:
* 1997 XJ Sport. Patriot Blue. Automatic. Still regret selling it.
* 2007 JK 2-door X model. Black. 6-speed manual. Still have it, still love driving it.
* 2021 JTR. Sting Gray. 6-speed manual. Iāve been super happy with it.
I donāt watch TrailRecon very much anymore and agree with the sentiment of others on this thread, that many of the channels that are popular today (TrailRecon, Casey250, Lifestyle Overland, and I hate to include TSTN but I will) were arguably better a couple years ago when they were more...
I have nothing against Toyota. In fact, I owned a 2014 Tacoma for a couple of years and really liked it.
However, back in July I had a brand new Tundra as a rental as a result of the rental car agency running out of the category of car I had reserved. The infotainment system was pretty bad in...
I think thatās a good idea. I think about my older Jeeps from time to time. I had a ā97XJ that I still regret selling, but I had to do it at the time. I think thatās why I wanted to hold on to my JK because Iām at a point in my life where I can afford to keep it In addition to my JT.
Now I...
Itās up to you. Do what makes you happy!
I kept my ā07 JK and I bought a ā21 JTR back in January. I still enjoy driving the JK around town and occasionally take it out on the trail, but the JTR is pretty much better for me in every other way. If I got into a situation where I couldnāt keep...
Oh please, my first job out of college was in a public employee union environment in California in which the biggest work hazard was sitting at a desk. Iām not saying that people donāt deserve fair pay for what they do, but in my case I eventually went into the private sector, in a non-union...
I know this is an old thread, but just in case it helps anyone:
Bought my 2021 JTR in January 2023. 6MT. Had 13,500 miles or so on it, now has about 20,000 miles on it. Previous owner installed a 4ā Readylift and 40ā tires, but didnāt really beef up any of the other steering components And it...
Are you using a Tazer? If so, the process to get everything to work correctly is slightly different than it is with an automatic transmission. I had the issue you mention after re-gearing my Gladiator with the MT.
Youāll need to do the steps described here...
