  1. Debating Debadging Rubi

You can buy the RUBICON decal, so if you remove it and regret it, you can buy another one and put it back on. I bought my JTR used and the previous owner took the decal off. I drove it around as a ā€œstealthā€ Rubicon for awhile but then added the sticker back because I like the way it looks.
  2. Shop Labor Rates!!!

$195/hour at a shop near me in Golden, CO. Heard a rumor that another popular 4x4 shop in Englewood, CO is at $200/hour, but I donā€™t know that for sure as Iā€™ve never had work done there.
  3. Ford Laying off 70% of EV Lightning employees [LOCKED DUE TO FIGHTING & POLITICS]

The article forgot to mention difficulties when towing with an F-150 Lightining ā€” terrible range, and then you have to stop to charge at chargers that are not optimized for a vehicle towing a trailer so the trailer has to be disconnected and put somewhere else before charging.
  4. Fellow Jeep enthusiast and family could use some help...

Done. Thanks for sharing this link. Wishing Zach a speedy recovery!
  5. Thinking Gladiator

I have a ā€˜21 Rubicon with the 6-speed manual. Iā€™m not new to manual transmissions but I had some trouble getting used to the clutch on mine and stalled it a couple times. I thought maybe there was something wrong with me. Iā€™ve found that turning OFF the hill assist helped a lot, as I actually...
  6. Evolution.... where did you start? Or is the Gladiator your first Jeep?

In terms of Jeeps, Iā€™ve either had or have: * 1997 XJ Sport. Patriot Blue. Automatic. Still regret selling it. * 2007 JK 2-door X model. Black. 6-speed manual. Still have it, still love driving it. * 2021 JTR. Sting Gray. 6-speed manual. Iā€™ve been super happy with it.
  7. Trail Recon got a new Gladiator

I donā€™t watch TrailRecon very much anymore and agree with the sentiment of others on this thread, that many of the channels that are popular today (TrailRecon, Casey250, Lifestyle Overland, and I hate to include TSTN but I will) were arguably better a couple years ago when they were more...
  8. Jeep’s technology compared to Toyota is stellar

I have nothing against Toyota. In fact, I owned a 2014 Tacoma for a couple of years and really liked it. However, back in July I had a brand new Tundra as a rental as a result of the rental car agency running out of the category of car I had reserved. The infotainment system was pretty bad in...
  9. [POLL] Will you be purchasing/trading in for a 2025 Gladiator 4xe?

Same as some of the others ā€” I like my current Gladiator that I just got in January, but none of the options in the poll align with my reason.
  10. Anyone have a JKU and a Gladiator - i am thinking of going back

I think thatā€™s a good idea. I think about my older Jeeps from time to time. I had a ā€˜97XJ that I still regret selling, but I had to do it at the time. I think thatā€™s why I wanted to hold on to my JK because Iā€™m at a point in my life where I can afford to keep it In addition to my JT. Now I...
  11. Anyone have a JKU and a Gladiator - i am thinking of going back

Itā€™s up to you. Do what makes you happy! I kept my ā€˜07 JK and I bought a ā€˜21 JTR back in January. I still enjoy driving the JK around town and occasionally take it out on the trail, but the JTR is pretty much better for me in every other way. If I got into a situation where I couldnā€™t keep...
  12. Strike has begun

Oh please, my first job out of college was in a public employee union environment in California in which the biggest work hazard was sitting at a desk. Iā€™m not saying that people donā€™t deserve fair pay for what they do, but in my case I eventually went into the private sector, in a non-union...
  13. Jeep Gladiator - happy owners? seeing scary stuff in the repair forums

I know this is an old thread, but just in case it helps anyone: Bought my 2021 JTR in January 2023. 6MT. Had 13,500 miles or so on it, now has about 20,000 miles on it. Previous owner installed a 4ā€ Readylift and 40ā€ tires, but didnā€™t really beef up any of the other steering components And it...
  14. Following regear back up camera issues

Are you using a Tazer? If so, the process to get everything to work correctly is slightly different than it is with an automatic transmission. I had the issue you mention after re-gearing my Gladiator with the MT. Youā€™ll need to do the steps described here...
  15. Manual Transmission Recall 19A

I agree with you. Although I feel like if Stellantis can devise a repair thatā€™s just barely good enough and leverages the existing clutch (like the previous software update), theyā€™ll do it. However I agree with you that itā€™s probably very difficult to leave any of the existing/flawed parts in...
  16. Manual Transmission Recall 19A

That would be amazing. Iā€™ve driven a manual for a long time but I feel like I still have some trouble driving the manual in my JT, where Iā€™m a little hard on the clutch sometimes because the pedal has such a light feeling. I doubt theyā€™d replace the entire clutch but we can hope!
  17. Jeep Colors

I have Sting Gray, but I wish some better bright colors were offered. If they brought back Gecko Green or offered something like Mojito or Bikini, Iā€™d buy any of those colors. I wanted to like the current yellow thatā€™s out now but I didnā€™t like it enough to buy it.
  18. Can you negotiate on a used Jeep

You can negotiate on used Jeeps, but you probably wonā€™t be getting a huge percentage off of the asking price like you can when you order new and use the affiliate code + incentives. I bought my 2021 (used) earlier this year and negotiated about $3500 off of the price. But it was a 2-week...
  19. Help! I know this isn’t normal!!

Did you follow the break-in instructions after having the regear done? I know when I had mine done, I had to put on a certain number of miles in 2WD and drive it in varying conditions a couple times. Then had to take it back to the shop at about 500 miles and have them check it out and they...
  20. Please Critique my New Gladiator Configuration

I would consider the hard top, even though I know it adds to the cost. Only reason is this ā€” if you reallllly want the soft top, itā€™s easy to find/buy a used one and/or buy a Bestop or similar. I think itā€™s more difficult to find someone willing to part with a hard top if you decide you want...
