I went ahead and came out the down-turn route and it drops the cable RIGHT next to the right (facing windshield) of the distribution fuse box. Which puts it right where you need it to if you want to connect to the pos/neg battery terminals.
You might be surprised to know how little room is actually in there! I ran 12/2 marine grade duplex wire sheathed and Iām not sure if it would fit more than one more. Itās kinda full of tiny wires that are only in a sheath where you see the wires go in. Pretty scary to see an explosion of...
I really donāt want to break all these clips off there must be about 20 of them going across the top of there.
Any quick suggestions on how to get this little bugger open?
Iāve got 7500 miles on my New gladiator and I donāt know if Iāve ever noticed before, but I can hear whine. Itās clearly more like a transmission kind of a wine or something farther back from the middle of my gladiatorā never towing, never hardly accelerated, just an easy-going comfortable...
John, you must be my brother from another mother!
I have two BMW's and notice EVERYTHING. That friggen light hits me right in my eyes. I hate that thing and now I know it isn't just me...
All kidding aside, ....yup kinda irritating 'aint it?
My plan was to use their kit and keep their instructions and use as proof of not harming the factory integrationā¦..as I am still way under warrant.
But yes, if youāre not under warranty, do your own kit! š
I completely agree with your way of thinking. But, there is no way of getting to the factory wires without dismantling the Jeep and running wires all over the place. It would be 100x easier if theyād run a molex connector from inside to outside via the firewall and I could have accessed there...
Well, I decided I will move forward with the Cooltech kit. Electrically it is 100% isolated and is essentially the best option for the Jeep. I am more than willing to show a service manager what it is and how it doesnāt interfere with the Jeep. Hell, Iām NASA Certified for soldering, which...
Yes, thatās why connections are made in the drivers door foot rail. Bare a wire join another, solder & seal. Ultimately the wires are 100% isolated from factory., via a switch that toggles control to keep or tow rig. Is about as electrically isolated as you can get, and WAY BETTER than a...
Iāll post the electoral kit.
Found it.

I hope this is the correct place to ask...I don't trust a dealer to ask.
I expect to add a high end electrical kit (that provides protection to all electrical circuits) to use factory lights AND charging circuit.
I also will be adding a tow bar system--attaching to frame up front.
