The Gladiator isn’t anywhere near how poorly Scrambler sold. I know it’s a thing, not to remember at all, but we did have a bad recession in the 80’s with sky high interest rates. Hence how all auto industry struggled.
On that chart yeah numbers are down but look at the rest. Wranglers are...
Unpopular opinion:
Trim levels in Jeeps are not worth the money. Falls more on the levels between Sport and Mojave and Rubicon. Basically Sports plus stuff. And even Rubi/Mojave the components used are inflated prices. Mopar e lockers are made in China They all share same engine, trans and...
That’s the worst location and antenna for off road use as they are meant to be mounted in a high spot and middle of the roof. Meant for flightl line and mining vehicles. Transmit antennas should be mounted in a clear area. Not tucked and right next to metal, or your head. Performance over...
Other countries have weird laws about how much fenders need to cover the wheels I believe Aussie bound Jeeps are just like that. Or may be Jeep sets up all Jeeps for export the same way.
Consider a situation (there are a few) where you may not have FOB to turn your radio on but need it for an emergency. Amp draw is low in the receive mode in case you forgot to power it down. Small thing like that could make a difference
Dual band VHF UHF Powerwerx DB750X and Diamond dual band with UHF connector.
Clean instal. Easy. Only made a hole in plastic tray blind side and the firewall plastic plug for antenna and power. Wire to battery.
Topsy antenna mount and mike hanger. You can see where I mounted the antenna so...

If you have the software and cable see how it shows up on that. Might have a lock feature you keep on activating accidentally. See if you can download a firmware update. Otherwise needs to go to a shop that services those radios.
Yeah. Not getting the whole “stubby” and “low profile” antenna fad. Seems futile trying to explain its not a XM radio. That you want a longer antenna mounted on the roof preferably if not some location that is not up next to a junk of metal. Specially being out in remote areas.
Are my radio geek panties showing? And why are underwear called pairs anyways?
Mounted it up front, non-US style because I want it to work better than reflecting signal off that almost vertical windshield frame. It was either up there or in the back by the tailgate. No roof options in Jeeps...
Mounted my dial band ham/gmrs radio. Not really done but mounted main body under dash and control head witing for bulletpoint mounting and topsy fender mount for the antenna.
What 8 retaining clips? Those round clips that held the bumper bolts/tow hooks in place? Just shit can those. You don't need them. In fact letting them loose makes it easier to shake and wiggle them in place. That's only there for factory assembly.
And is that the ebay one? If so, make sure...
