  1. HPFP Replacement Recall - Post Fix Review

Mine got done today. I’ll dig up the part number later. Dropped it off this morning and picked it up this afternoon. No noticeable difference in noise or driving but I run EDT and wasn’t having any issues beforehand.
  2. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

haven’t tried yet but I will circle back and let you know. I’m due for a filter change. All I can say for sure is that my fuel filter would be toast if I didn’t have this skid… I’ve beat on it pretty good since getting it.
  3. Doing my HPFP recall today

same here. I got mine done today… in and out in a day. We’ll see how it is long term but as far as I’m concerned it was a super easy fix.
  4. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

Finally got around to purchasing and installing the skid from Asfir. From Israel to my house in 4 days. Will make draining and replacing the filter more difficult (skid has to come off) but well worth the added peace of mind. Will see how it holds up on the rocks next week.
  5. Fill Neck Mod

I ended up ordering a diesel fill neck from a Wrangler since it was only about $65 compared to double that for the Gladiator version. I got it out and stuck it in a vise and used 2 small screwdrivers to basically bend the metal part of the neck (flathead part sticking towards the opening of the...
  6. Diesel no longer available to order!

Couldn't agree more. Took mine to Moab and it did 80 to 85 the whole way, including over the Rockies, without breaking a sweat. Plus, wheeling it is awesome (aside from the fuel filter skid--stupid design). Engine is just way better than the 3.6 I had in my old Jeep.
  7. Are you all super rich or is there a method I don’t get?!

Whether it's axles, or side by sides, or you name it hobby and you're wondering, "how do people afford it?," there's one of two options: they're affluent, save well, and can afford it, or they finance it and are up to their eyeballs in debt. For the vast majority of people in the U.S., I bet you...
  8. Planning a Moab trip, Spring 2023

I agree with both of your assessments. Not sure I’d recommend Eagles or the Trifecta trails to a newbie rolling solo though. Super fun but some spots you could get yourself in trouble if not careful.
  9. Planning a Moab trip, Spring 2023

    that’s it!
  10. Planning a Moab trip, Spring 2023

You will have fun. Moab is amazing--no place quite like it I've ever been. Know that you could still get some cold/snow that time of year depending on when you are going. You will probably be fine, especially later in the month, but something to be aware of. Buy Charles Wells' guidebook to...
  11. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

What you described is almost exactly what happened to me... busted bolt, skid plate bent, etc. etc. Couldn't agree more about placement. I was aware of it going into the weekend of wheeling and left scratching my head that not one person thought "maybe we shouldn't put a critical system...
  12. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

Awesome. For what it's worth, I love my Next Venture diff skid. Have one in the rear. Didn't use it as much as I expected but when I did, it's really nice that it covers the pinion.
  13. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

I'm definitely picking up some of these, at least the fuel filter skid. The ones I saw mounted up looked pretty solid.
  14. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

Yep, mine has a metal cover too... see the second pic in my post. But it gets hung up on rocks easily since it sticks out and doesn't really prevent the filter from getting screwed up.
  15. Another winch in a plastic bumper.

Nicely done! Looks even cleaner than mine. Good choice of winch, too... mine has hauled me all over.
  16. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Did some wheeling in Moab this past weekend. No one tells you that the ride down the back of Hell's Gate is even scarier than the way back up!
  17. Wheel your EcoDiesel? Get a fuel filter skid.

My buddy and I went to Moab last weekend to break in my JT Rubicon EcoDiesel. Our friends in another vehicle hadn't arrived yet so we hit Elephant Hill on Thursday. I was aware of the issues a few folks in the JL have had breaking their fuel filter housing, so I was extra attentive to keeping...
  18. 3.0L Diesel High Pressure Fuel Pump Recall Z96

No recall on mine. Not sure of mfg date (will have to check later) but I picked it up at the dealer in May of this year and it had just gotten off the train, so probably some time this spring.
  19. What Skids Are Necessary? “Can of Worms” Thread

I added a diff skid and LCA frame side skids to my JT just because it's so long, but for what it's worth I beat the everloving crap out of the stock skids on my JKUR and never had any issues. They are a lot more durable than people think as long as you are mindful of low hanging objects (mainly...
