Metal on metal was more of a scrapping noise. But i dont' want to try and replicate it.. I only heard it once in a icy/snow covered parking lot a few days ago. And that was when I was backing up and had to turn the wheel almost all the way to the right.. So never going to use 4WD backing up...
Thanks.. yes. I guess a snowy/icy parking lot backing up.. not really thinking too much about it. I'll never do that again. I know the truck does not like being in 4wd on tight turns even in icy situations. So I hardly ever use 4wd. I think that applies to any truck that has 4wd and the only...
Thank you!!! I'll check it out carefully. Seems like unplugging and plugging back in is easy enough.. just take my time to make sure it's all lined up and nothing bent. But if bent I'll see if I can fix. Thanks!!
Thank you. The previous owner had the doors off several times. I agree I told the dealer to check it.. I can do it but why but it seems dealer don't have any incentive to really dig into any problem with an aftermarket warranty. So I'll probably end up just taking the door panel off and...
Hello,
I bought a 2020 Mopar lifted JT with 35" tires, Pedal Commander, Tazer, aftermarket front bumper, Harbor Freight Winch and a few other small things back on October of 2022. Got it with an aftermarket Warranty. 49K miles at the time.. now about 75K miles.
I want another Gladiator...
I have a Pedal Commander with 35's and a Factory 2" lift and mini tazer lite. Have only owned the Gladiator for 5 weeks now. But I do a lot of small 3 and 4 mile commutes and my gas mileage is indeed horrible because of that. (12mpg) I knew it was going to be bad but not quite this bad. But...
Getting 13.2 mpg around town a few short highway trips. Soft Top Gladiator
Mods are Jeep Fox Lift 35" tires on some stock OEM Jeep wheels maybe from a Ram model or something, possibly even the stock Gladiator wheels.
I don't know where I sit at currently b/c I have not manually calculated...
Okay. Awesome. thanks for the info. I'll take a look at the steering box. I believe everything is installed regarding the lift and it rides really good/... I mean I don't sense any issues alignment wise but at the same time I don't want to burn through $tires especially 35's.
I'm not really one to do the cheaper option on any parts. But the previous owner did choose some cheaper options amongst some good stuff too. I'll take a look to see which one I have as I can't quite tell from the most recent pic I posted in this thread. Thank you!
Thank you!! That helps a ton! Just didn't want to be traveling with a child in the back and have any death wobble, etc that I haven't' experience yet with it. I can replace it no problem.
Hello,
I just purchased this 2020 Sport with the 2" Mopar/Fox lift a few weeks ago and noticed this. The previous owner must have had or installed this in addition to the lift.
So I need a new/replacement FOX Steering Stabilizer. I'm completely new to trucks and know that if I don't replace...
I just bought a 2020 Sport. It has the tow package (Not max tow which allows 6,000 lbs towing capacity vs. the 7,650 for the Max Tow. It has the cold weather package which has the heated steering wheel, heated seats, and remote start. I also have power windows, locks and mirrors along with the...
My girlfriend had fluid film applied to her JL about a month ago. I was wanting to do the same to my JT. But I'm wondering now if it's not recommended to be cleaned can you even go mudding, on the trails, etc. Then you have caked on mud and it shouldn't be cleaned off the undercarriage?
I...
Yes you have to have it reapplied every year. The reapplication is like 1/3 the cost of the original application if I remember correctly. Everything is on their site. My girlfriend had it done a month ago on her 2022 JL.

I used to have a product called Gatorback coating. But it's primary use was designed for the plastic cladding on Chevy Avalanches back in the day. But sadly the company went out of business. It was a few products one came in the spray can and the other was via an applicator/dabber and came in...
