On an old thread looking for ideas. I can give you one NOT to do. I got orange aluminum valve caps for my tires. All four of them should have just been basically melted onto the tires. Couldn’t move them at all. I live at the beach but I have never had my tires in saltwater. Crazy. Fortunately...
I drive a lot on sand. Beaches Have different speed limits. When I am on my home beach and the sand is deep, 20 mph puts me at too high an RPM so I go manual then. I pretty much leave it in automatic until there is a shifting issue though.
A Jeep is like buying a Mr. Potatohead. You can interchange parts or add whatever you want to make it your own. When you buy pretty much any other car or truck, it is basically the same vehicle when you sell it years later (plus all the wear-and-tear and depreciation).
Also, I have the back-up...
I haven’t ever unplugged my Tazer for a dealer visit. I have never had an issue and don’t plan to bother with it until told to do so. Maybe it gives a bad read? I don’t know.
Those phone holders are hit-and-miss. I recently moved from iPhone8 to iPhone15 with no problems after I upgraded the cord I was using.
Also, you are likely already away of this trick but running the cord out of the center console is great. I keeps all the stuff away from the dashboard. I...
I am an older guy and clicked on the link then realized that I misread "nets"……….
Now, I have read the thread and also realized that I am late to the joke. Oh well, I made myself laugh at least.
So many people have Tazer that I am guessing that dealers are used to them. I never unmarry mine. I always INTEND TO but pretty much have forgotten each time.
Strong advice: buy the SGW extension cable. Once you go under the dashboard to deal with the SGW plug, you will wish you did. I cut my hands getting it unplugged and had to get my wife to plug in the extension cable. It is fairly cheap and totally worth it!!
Beyond that, programming is...
I went new because they were offering so much off and, living at the beach, I didn’t have to worry about rust issues not caused by me.
Our situations may be similar though. I had a company car for 30+ years so it is my first Jeep. I knew diving in and doing a bunch of mods may not be practical...
I have it in my Mojave. Depending on the beach I am running, the shift points become awkward. RPMs run too high and the engine gets hot since I am not running fast enough to cool it (and it is usually hot outside too—upper 80s at worst though). I have to either turn it off or go to "manual"...
The Jeep is now ready for the helicopter to come, pick it up, and put it on the absolute peak of a nearby mountain so the owner can take the ultimate "I ride my Jeep harder than you" picture.
