I have checked mine before and after driving, no unusual heat, no sign of any damage, I have had my Jeep for 5 years.
I wonder what could possible change now all of a sudden to cause a fire? What catalyst could occur to make that happen?
I have the 2inch AEV lift with 37s and stock wheels and did not need wheel spacers, no fitment issues. Having said that, I did add spacers just for a little wider stance
Do it yourself and have one or two days of cussing, looking for tools, and the joy of getting up and down off the concrete floor a hundred times.
You do feel good about after your done while promising yourself at the same time you will never do it again.
I had the same issue, it will eventually go off but it is irritating. I added a sheet of tin foil on the inside of the console box on the side facing the house.....keeps it from connecting to the phone whe I'm home, but still works when I get in vehicle.
Agreed, the Maverick fills a need that wasn't being met by anyone else, (mine was a Lariat Tremor with a msrp of 42500). But to me you cant directly compare the 2, the Gladiator was more than worth the difference in price, its so much more vehicle.
Owned a Maverick Tremor, traded it for the Gladiator, it was like driving a Ford Focus with a bed, no truck manners what so ever...obviously some people like that.
