Just don't get the "it's a bad daily driver" take. It's the best daily driver I've ever had, enjoy driving it every single day. Owned a lot of vehicles, all the rest became boring appliances after 3 months, if not sooner.
I'm with you on this, you can offroad without beating the hell out of it. Keeping it nice takes a little effort, but I like how it looks. I would definitely have to get any damage to it fixed.
I think to an auto enthusiast there is a large emotional quotient to getting a vehicle, if a Rubicon or Mojave is not an obviously better choice to you at a glance, you will probably be happier with a Tacoma.
A Gladiator is rarely a rational choice and is not a decision you can really come to...
just installed the kit, which includes the spacers, sway bar links, shock extensions and new bump stops and then I added the longer mopar LCAs....that was it. Might add an adjustable track bar down the road to get the axle exactly centered, but you just about have to measure it to notice.
I kind of think of it like Glamping...its not really camping. If you use a power winch or another vehicle to get unstuck...that's not really off-roading, you are missing the real experience.
PS. please don't make me dig this hole any deeper...
ok, I'm beginning to believe you don't think much of the Come-Along community.
We are proud of our accomplishments and our struggles, its a hard life...I am just waiting for the chance to save myself or some other adventurer from certain stuckness with a tool blessed by God when he inspired...
I hear the OP, but I think the dash, with the overall mix of analog/actual dials and digital was one of the things Jeep did really well in the JL/JT...at least compared to other modern dashes.
And they look like crap from the side. Its overkill with a 2 inch lift, especially if you have the slightly longer Mopar LCAs. 400 bucks not well spent....
I went with 35s at first, than added the AEV 2 inch lift and had to add ko2 37s. The KO2 37s are a little smaller and a lot lighter than other 37s. I have no need to regear, it's still peppy and I see 8th as much as I ever did. Now if you are going to add 800 lbs of bumpers, winches, and...
