I didn't know some campers came with positive pressure vents.
Until this thread I didn't know what they were called.
I wondered what the overlanders did, with their bunks and camping gear in the back.
It wouldn't take much pressure to keep the dust out, a fraction of a pound of air pressure...
In an attempt to cut down on the dust drawn into the covered bed on my Gladiator I installed a seal on the tailgate.
Then I began thinking, once the bed is sealed up as well as it can be, a small compressor to pressurize the bed would help keep dust out as well.
I know desert racers have air...
Is it as simple as this?
Some get the pop-ups and some don't. Are the owners that created an account at connect.jeep and allowing messages the only ones getting the pop-ups?
I didn't see any reason to create an account and haven't noticed a pop-up on my 5" screen yet.
I just read about this bullshit on another forum.
Is is happening to all Jeeps with the radio screen?
Or only certain years or option packages?
I haven't seen anything in my '23 Sport, yet.
'59 Willys pickup, '85 CJ7, '82 CJ7, '13 JKR, '23 JT.
There were also 3 CJ5 projects that never got registered or driven more than around the block.
Bought my wife a couple also, a '14 Cherokee and an '18 JKU.
Melted? What part melted, and do you know why?
I'm interested in some form of a disabling switch for my Gladiator.
I find a switch on a relay an interesting method.
I forget that not everybody is disciplined enough to ignore their phone while driving, if they were we wouldn't be having this discussion.
The notifications need to be broadcast to the phones which are in use.
I love this idea, if this system gets implemented we could include a transmitter in traffic lights that sends an announcement to phones when the light goes green.
Thanks for the info. I haven't done anything with mine yet but I'm thinking about it again.
If mine has to much rake I had planned on looking into new springs after I have a measurement.
Now I can begin seeing what's available for springs before I begin.
Sorry to read of your Jeeps tendencies of running of with any old tow truck.
If I sensed my Jeep was turning into a floozy I'd perform the above mentioned exorcism.
Or maybe it would be a lobotomy.
In any case, I would attempt to identify the mechanism leading it astray, and remove it.
There...
