  1. Anyone regret installing the snorkel?

I'm not looking to ford water. I do live down in South Texas during the colder months and at least 4 times a week am on the beach and would like to reduce the amount of sand I get in the airbox.
  2. Anyone regret installing the snorkel?

I’ve been sitting on the snorkel since it was released and now after getting my JTRD back from the dealer for corrosion(they replaced everything but the bed and cab) I’m finally thinking about installing it. Anyone regret doing it? I know I’ll prob need the upgraded intake section but was...
  3. Anyone have to replace the return line yet?

Diesel return like. I ended up just slipping a rubber fuel line over the break and clamping it. To do it properly you have to drop the transmission which is just stupid. I HIGHLY recommend looking at where the fuel lines are resting on the firewall. Mine somehow came off the mount and rubbed a hole.
  4. Anyone have to replace the return line yet?

JT started leaking yesterday, discovered that the return line was rubbing against the firewall and wore a hole in one of the lines. Now I'm trying to replace it and I'm having a bitch of a time trying to get the old one out and it looks pretty impossible putting the new ones in without dropping...
  5. The diesel is just superior…

The squat you see is from ground there not being flat, there was no squat like that on the road(I have SDI eclicks which can be adjusted for hitch weight). Normally I do this drive with my 16ft enclosed trailer which has a WD hitch with eliminates any squatting as well. The towels under the...
  6. The diesel is just superior…

Just finished my biannual 1700 mile trip from southern trip of Texas to northern MN. Both vehicles are fully loaded down, averaged 75mph and 14mpg (hand calculated). No issues at all. Oh and I’m on 39s with stock gearing. The diesel is just better…
  7. CavFab Predator Series Recessed Winch Bumper

I’d buy it today if it was aluminum.
  8. Will these wheels fit with 40s?

Because I already have 38's and if I can go larger yet be lighter that's a win win. Also very soft sand here so aired down the 40s will give me more float. But you know, thanks for not answering the question ;-)
  9. Will these wheels fit with 40s?

Have the mopar control arms. I’m more worried about rubbing on the inside/liners. Don’t know if that’s enough backspacing to push them out enough.
  10. Will these wheels fit with 40s?

Yep I agree. I got them peak covid 2nd hand since there wasn’t much out there at the time. I don’t do any hard wheeling but I’m out on the beach several times a week. Just don’t know if the 4.75 backspacing will be enough for 40s
  11. Will these wheels fit with 40s?

Currently running some heavy Fuel 20s with 38s which combined weight is around 130lbs. Looking to go lighter but up the size this time around. I like the weight of the Method 316s in the 8.5 width and 4.75 backspacing but don't know if that's enough to run 40s. My rig is a Rubicon with split...
  12. Gladiator 4xe Shadow Reveal?

Clickbait, that's a JL not a JT. Look at the back wheel flare.
  13. Gulf of America to Arctic Ocean-Canada to Alaska trip coming June 2!

Even though you don't like it, the Gulf has been renamed. If you want to live in fantasy/denial, it doesn't change the facts...
  14. What's Your Body Count?

Lets see... Two XJs, one 2 door, other 4 door 99 TJ 91 YJ which I dropped a 1.9 VW TDI in and cut/lengthened the frame 15"(length of the LJ) 05 LJR which I am currently in the process of swapping a 2.0 VW TDI in 21 JTRD
  15. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Just drove this heavily loaded 16ft enclosed 1700 miles averaging 70/75mph getting roughly 12/13mpg and didn’t even get close to derating(oil temp maybe hit 250 once or twice). No cruise control and had to manually select the gear time to time but no problems.
  16. HOOD OPEN…which sensor

Usually seems on my biannual 1800 mile trip, something on the jeep always go’s. This time I started to get Hood Open warning. Anyone know which sensor this is and anything to look for? I messed a little with the two latches but warning didn’t go away. Annoying since I use my remote start daily.
  17. Diesel cooling options and ideas

I tow 3-4 times a year a very loaded 16ft enclosed trailer from the northern border to the southern tip of texas and I have never derated. My JTRD also is running heavy 38s. I'm just not an idiot and when I see temps start to rise I slow down and I don't use cruise control while towing...
  18. Planning on a full brake service...looking for suggestions

I went with the EBC solid rotors since I ordered the EBC pads. I ended up ordering their new red pads. We shall see how they do.
  19. Planning on a full brake service...looking for suggestions

yea I have for many years. Not even a close comparison
  20. Planning on a full brake service...looking for suggestions

yea where I’m at in South Padre Island it’s 1 of 7 super-saltine areas in the world. Everything rusts down here … everything.
