Yes the divider can rest on the curve. It has rubber pads and springs on two sides of it to increase frictional force, enough for preventing slipping down.you have a liner in the bottom of the bed of the example truck. Most of us would not have that.
The sides curve in at the bottom - is there a stop or does the bottom corner simply hit that curve and dig in and stop it from going on down.
For example, the board I made, I curved the bottom to match the curve of the bed sides so it rests on the bottom of the truck bed, not in the sides.
Will this actually rest on the curve of the bed sides to stop it from going clear down?
I could see myself adding a board to the bottom to prevent digging into the curves at the bottom of the sides, sort of a stop, and, to keep things from sliding under.

This area curves in - does it rest on these curves or have other stops to keep it from going down farther?
