2020 JT Sport S, lost back up beep.

Good day, lost the audible beep when backing up and close to something.
Camera is fine, no messages on dash, my model does not have a on/off button. No turn off through stereo settings that I can find. Anyone else have this happen? Any guesses on fix?.

Sure you do not have the switch? I looked at the Canada owners manual and it says there should be one. Center stack control just to the right of the hazard flasher switch. Should have a big "P" icon with radio waves and "OFF"

Does all the other functions with the graphics showing the rear distance bars illuminating as you get close to an object?

Uconnect also has settings for volume.

You have a owners manual copy? All that stuff is in there.

Definitely no switch on dash,only switches around my hazard is the heated seats switch toggles.
Had me hoping i missed it in the radio settings so I rechecked. Nope. 3 choices under safety, "fixed guidelines, moving guidelines, and back up camera delay" thats it.
Really appreciate the try thou. I left my manual at home but will check those page numbers tonight.

Yeah, unless I am missing something your JT does not have the "Safety Group" which back in 2020 consisted of the ParkSense, Blind Spot Monitoring and LED Tail Lamps. Neither your window sticker or build sheet shows this.

I am thinking you have something third party that used OEM parts to retrofit this system but does not add the switch. Below is a link to Infotainment.com that discusses and installs such a kit. If you have one of their kits installed, you may want to float that by them.

Wow, that is very interesting, bought this jt used with 30 thousand KM. Love it (mostly). Have had a few issues. Biggest one is when first starting it up, randomly once in a while the defrost will kick on. On high, i cannot change mode or speed of fan, no control what so ever.
Then after about 1 minute, It stops and I have control again... no auto setting on this model. I will watch the video and perhaps contact the company.

2020 was the first model year for the JT. There is a lot of niggles and quirk issues noticed that year.

Attached is a TSB for the HVAC that address a few issues with it. Covers both the single zone and dual zone (ATC) systems. Reprograms the HVAC module. This is not a recall and will be customer pay if you decide to have it looked at and done if applicable.

I see there dash looks very similar to mine, but they have there back up display coming through the dash behind the steering wheel. Mine is displayed in the center display. Just a difference i noticed in the video.
Oh and dealer said cost me about $180 to do HVAC update.

I think there is some confusion here. What is on your radio is the "ParkView" which is the backup camera.

The other system is the "ParkSense" which is the radar sensors that should give a display like in the video I posted.

Does your rear bumper have the sensors in them like shown in the video? If not, you do not have the ParkSense system installed at all and what is show on your radio is just the grid lines for the rearview backup camera.

I agree with what you are saying, just dont know why I lost the beeping.
There are no holes in my bumper and I always thought that strange since every other vehicle with the beeping had them. I had a minivan that had the sensors in the bumper and had to change 1, so I know what they look like.

I do not know why you had the beeping to begin with then. I do not recall that being a feature for it. Sounds like you had a quirk that fixed itself if anything.

2020 and 2021 model year JT's are pretty unique than later years to current in that a lot of single option and packages were not bundled together and it made for some interesting JT's being made and yours is one of them. It is highly optioned but lacks the technology package or upgraded radios you would see with most JT's that were made then.
