I’ve got 3000 kms on the odometer. The moaning sound happened from the first day and I didn’t think much of it as I figured something up front just needed to break in. Only happens when backing into the garage or reversing out of a parking stall. The sound is coming from the front and I first thought it was the brake pads or the rotors up front but I jacked up the front end and spun the tires and heard nothing. It’s not a steady moan until I put it in drive, it’s intermittent moan while moving. Does not happen in drive and it stops when the truck stops.
Anyone had this? Thanks!

Are you going super slow and the brakes off?

Mine is doing the same thing, but forward and reverse while going less than 10mph and wheel slightly turned. Straight or full turn, no sound.

It’s gotta be something with the steering? I’m bringing mine to the dealer for another issue this week and will ask about this too.

Are you sure you're not just hearing the gear noise from the transmission?

I had this type of sound last week and thought it was from the power steering pump or motor.
The dealer diagnosed it as a failing FL wheel bearing.
Parts on order, replacement on Wed.

Interesting, could this also have something to do with a faulty wheel speed sensor? My dealer visit is for my ABS, ESC, SERV 4WD lights on and I believe a faulty wheel sensor is to blame. If this is somehow also causing the squealing sound, the issue is related.

In my case the sound isn’t squealing. Its a low grown, moan with the truck in very slow reverse
