Hello friends!
New off the lot, after the first 1000 miles, I started noticing excessive brake dust on front passenger wheel. The rotor also seems to have a few visible rings of brake deposit build up. The truck is not pulling to the right, no burning smell, no unusual braking experience, dust color is normal, rotor hub is relatively clean compared to the wheel, and hasn't been driven off pavement.
I also noticed that the pad deposit rings on the rotor aren't baked in, as when I clean the wheels with a solution (when cold), the rings get dissolved and disappear with no trace. both the rings and dust start to become visible after driving for about 100 miles (over the course of days).
Dealer inspecting brake assembly/caliper says there's nothing obvious or unusual, pistons seem to be working fine, bolts were properly torqued from factory, and torqued after inspection.
I recall seeing a reply from a member in one of the posts on this forum where they mentioned the same experience. Unfortunately I am unable to find that post again to ask the member whether they still have the same issue. There seems to be no posts about this issue anywhere; not sure if folk are simply not noticing it, or just not happening to them.
At this stage, I'm wondering whether this is happening during occasional heavy braking, and for some reason, the front passenger pads are causing the deposits and excessive dust (maybe softer pads from a different batch got put on?)
Short of getting new pads all around, any thoughts on this? much appreciated!
