I usually do Nags Head, but it’s a hike to beach driving. We’ll see where they want this going down on the sand. Never done this event.

Price on rentals have shot through the roof for this fall. Last year, we rented a house for $1,800 for the week. That same house is $6,000 for the same week.

We usually stay in Nags head at a hotel/motel. The one we use is $176/night on Travelocity from 6-9 OCT 2022. It’s clean, quiet, on the sand, pet friendly and still clean, and easy to get to Fish Head’s, Sam & Omie’s, and over to Manteo.

To get to the house we stay at. You have to go north through Corolla until you run out of road. Then you have to drive on the beach for another 30 minutes or so. If it's high tide and with a storm. You might have to drive in the ocean to get around the one house.
