2023 stock Gladiator Mojave rear end driver side clunk
I’ve taken my jeep to the dealership twice now to try and fix this clunk/clang noise before I put a lift on my truck so they cannot blame it on the lift. First visit they said my rear track bar was slightly loose at the linkage so they tightened it but problem persists. Second trip down they tightened everything in the rear again and said they cannot duplicate the noise I’m hearing so there is nothing to fix.
That all being said, every morning when leave my jeep overnight in the garage on a flat surface, I back down my drive way. As my rear tires roll down the rolling curb to the street I hear an initial clunk. Midway as I’m completing my back out, as the body/ suspension flexes from the height difference of the driveway and the street there is a metallic clang (pretty standard driveway angle), almost as if it is resonating through the bed (dealer did not check to make sure the bed mounts are tight even though I asked). I have only ever owned wranglers so I’m not familiar with what is normal and acceptable with a truck. This noise is not heard again until after my jeep has again sat untouched for hours, after the initial clang I cannot duplicate it until before mentioned conditions are met.
All videos recorded are after the truck has sat in the garage overnight
dark video engine not running:
clunk noise when lightly pressing bed down about an inch up and down before you hear the shock compress.(not sure if that is a normal sound or could be related to what I’m hearing) still heard after suspension tightened
dark video with engine running:
backing out of driveway rear end driver noise (phone is placed in bed front driver side closest to the cab) first clunk is wheels rolling off a rolling curb, second clang is during mid turn body flex (noise heard regardless of direction backing out)
tire video:
same scenario as video 2 aside from the fact it is filmed from outside of bed
sorry for the long read but I'm at my wits end, any feedback would be greatly appreciated ( I've scoured the internet and forums and haven't found a solution yet)
