There are a bunch of videos showing how to remove some of the dash panels for adding new knee speakers. I couldn't find much on how to pull the fabric panels. Seems self explanatory.
Disconnect both negative cables before proceeding with the air bag removal!
The issue I ran into was the air bag side. There are metal fingers that lock that panel on so it doesn't turn into a claymore when you crash. With the glove box door off you can see two 13mm bolts that hold the air bag in. Once those are removed you can pull the airbag forward and you can carefully pry up on the white plastic tabs to remove the cover. I bolted the air bag back in for now. Wasn't sure about having the original panels wrapped or get the Rubicon leather dash panel with red stitch. Yes you could get a cover but I do not trust that it wouldn't cause severe bodily harm when the airbag deploys.
