A week ago, my dream of owning a Jeep Gladiator became a reality!

So, naturally, I'm going ahead and starting my build/rig journal with an initial "fresh off the lot" entry.

This will be the family adventure vehicle, so naturally, we had my daughter name the Gladiator. Since I have a thing for the color blue, and her favorite tv show is probably self explanatory, naturally the name of the Gladiator is "Bluey" :D

^ Naturally, my #1 reason for buying the Gladiator... To have a convertible truck!

^ Getting the truck rigged up for it's primary duty, hauling my Kayak to and from the local tournaments. Kiddo decided to hang out and "help"

^ And since so many people have asked what the X came with, here's the window sticker!

===========================================================

My first two purchases as far as "modifications" go will be to A)Get some kind of step running board so the kiddo can get into/out of the Jeep without having to climb a mountain, and B) Some kind of truck bedcover, so I can just throw groceries/purchases in the bed without worrying.

I'm not sure if I'll do any major modifications yet, like lifts or anything, as I'll want to see what I can get away with first. Once I acquire the above, I'll probably start looking into recovery accessories. i.e. winches, ropes, boards, etc... as I'd love to take this thing out to the outer banks and hop on the beach for a day surf fishing or something, and maybe seeing about getting a Dickey Bell trail badge :D

Go Rhino B20 Running Boards. I bought mine specifically for little kids safely climbing in and out. They do that well, hid the pinch seam, and look good doing it too.

Awesome to know, I've been looking at these ones specifically and haven't quite pulled the trigger yet.
