The red wire goes directly to the battery. You also have to connect the blue wire to an ignition source or the amp will stay on all the time.

Oh, the remote wire. Supposedly they auto on/off based on speaker input with a switch. Haven't decided if I trust that or not.

I have a preloaded 8" pioneer behind the back seat. Works great for the size

E-cowlboy is the name. Just look up 12volt power adapter for jeep gladiator on Amazon. Or allmopar also sells one but it's more money than the ebay one.

Wow, you definitely have to take the whole dash apart to get that in! I skipped the knee speakers when I swapped out everything else because I didn't want to disassemble that much, but its good to know there's an option.

I have the 8 inch Kicker sub and it sits perfectly behind the rear passenger seat on the drivers side without the need to attach it to anything.

I purchased both the 10 inch and 8 inch kicker hideaway subs to compare .
Both of them fit behind the rear seat of my 25 gladiator.
I played with the settings , and the difference is barley noticeable.
So , I kept the 8inch and returned the 10inch.
They use the same wiring harness .
