2025 Mojave X

YOU are one of the extremely few (the others are in the far south or southern CA) where I would say the full time 4WD is NOT needed. LIving in MT like I do or anywhere where roads get slick, it is a very nice thing to have. LImited slip should be mandatory at the very least... I have both on a Freedom Edition.

I'd have backed out of my 25 order had I not been able to get it with this new one.
(especially since my wife also drives it now and then, and can't operate the t-case on these things with her handicap)

I wish I could swap out my rear locker for LSD differential, but I'm going to reserve judgement on that until I get through a "typical Iowa winter" here.
If it's a problem, then I'll be looking to make a trade of rear differentials.

I'd stick if I were you. LSD is the trade off if you don't have the full capabilities of a Rubicon or Mojave. IF...you four wheel in ernest, you are better off. If you four wheel occasionally maybe... The auto 4WD ought to take care of most thing imho.

I'm hopeful and even believing that with the selectrac and the electronics on these things, I'll be ok. These are amazing vehicles anyway, with decent tires and all.
I recall with my 2022 I was on a winding, hilly, curvy country highway after a storm. A lot of snow, icy spots, nasty night. Was driving along fine and finally hit an area where I figured 4 wheel drive just wasn't needed any more. I reached down to push the t-case lever forward and it didn't move. I looked at the dash and heck, it made it the whole way in 2 wheel drive just fine. I had forgotten and just never put it in 4.

Seats are a very personal preference, and maybe based on where you live, do you have dogs and so on. I've had both types.
You won't likely ever care about the transfer case thing. Nice to have choices. Sounds like a great choice for you.

No, no dogs. Nothing to really get the seats that dirty. On the 2016 JKU, I have used carpet cleaner a couple of times and given them a shampoo. That is it. So yes, in retrospect, I am happy with what I have. This is especially the case since I was not really planning on getting a Gladiator now but with the over 30% off of MSRP, I figured I would not see those prices again anytime soon.

No ABS or traction control to worry about...

I have a NP242 select-trac with a trac-loc rear diff in my 1991 Cherokee Laredo. Best damn 4WD system I've owned. It doesn't have all the electronic gizmos these new Jeeps have today.

No ABS or traction control to worry about...

I still own that Cherokee... going on 34 years.

Had a Cherokee Sport with 4.0 - I'd take that thing again in a heartbeat.
But I'd also take the WJs I had.

(Maybe I'm a bit jaded, though, since those came from the drawing boards and minds of AMC employees)

I'm looking at several Mojave X's around me (none super close) and trying to narrow things down. My current 2020 Rubicon was pretty well loaded. When I look at all the window stickers I don't see a listing for the remote start option on any of them. But it appears that the major features of the Convenience Group are already included in the Mojave X package - anyone know if its pretty much standard at this point? When looked through the buyers guide it was of no help either. Thanks!

X package - yeah, it's just plain there, standard.
Remote start/convenience package, technology package, SelecTrac and more - standard on an X even if not listed.

Now the question is - what accessories fit? What about the phone mount ball situation? The rail is great, and includes factory type inserts for the dash and all, but I wonder if my BulletPoint phone mount could work with this?
I use that for my phone, and in the winter, for my snow plow controller.
