Anyone having a problem with accidentally pushing the SOS button in the overhead and it remains depressed? Also it keeps calling the SOS emergency operator so is stuck in some kind of loop. I've tried the radio reset and also pulling the number 97 fuse. I'm hoping someone has figured out how to fix this rather than have to take it into a dealer because it's still under warranty

Bandit’s Lair is right about something being lodged in the housing but I think it was just some excess plastic from the part mold or gasket material that causes it to latch and not release. I took a fine dental pic that's curved but is real strong and slid it into the opening on three sides twisted it and gently pulled down to try to un-lodge whatever was holding it. At about the 4:00 position a green light came on and blinked a few times and it didn't seem like it would come down anymore. Right now it's not completely flush with the assist button next to it but the problem did go away. Wiggling it sideways doesn't help. It had to be 'pushed' from the back somehow and that's why the dental pick worked.

Never even tried pressing mine, I've had mine since 7/19.

Does one need some sort of subscription service for them to even work?

I've always been kind of afraid to even try, press it and have the PoPo and/or an ambulance show up, and I get in trouble for making a false call.

I accidentally turned mine on when I needed a light to eat a piece of chicken. Then realized I was no longer in a truck because the lights in the row bar. Duh!. Well since then it activated several times while I was trying to fix it, An operator comes on usually from a foreign country and asks you what the emergency is. I just tell them that it was an accident and that please cancel the call because they're the only ones that can do that. they are nice about it and understand because they probably get a thousand of em a day like that . It's OK to push it just to make sure it works when you need it and then just tell them it was an accident and please cancel the call. Just hope it doesn't get stuck like mine did and you have to use the 'old dental pick trick'. It's obviously a mechanical defect at least on mine and not a software one some, in the Internet suggests. By the way I ended up opening up the door and stepping outside to eat my chicken. Light came on anyway. I was in the middle of Tonto National Forest, Dark skies and plenty of stars to light my way

I would just have the dealer replace it under warranty.

If I go in for something bigger than that, then I will. But right now it's back to where it was and it will work if I need it. Where I live, it's kind of a pain to get to a dealer.
