I added an ARB air locker to the front of my Mojave and it works great. I think this is the ideal solution for rock crawling when one tire can't get as much grip as the other. In these low-speed scenarios, an LSD in the front likely wouldn't actuate as well as desired and therefore wouldn't give the benefit that a true locker does.i didn't know that about TrueTrac. If i get a front diff solution for my Mojave, you think this would be a better fit than a e-locker?
In a snow scenario, my understanding is that one should not use a front locker in the snow because it forces the tires to scrub/slip when turning, and therefore the steering would not be as effective when front-locked in the snow. Rear locked, front unlocked is best for that, although an argument for a rear LSD could be made there for sure. My personal opinion is that a rear locker is more predictable than an LSD in the snow.
