My 2021 Gladiator Sport S Max Tow is now at the dealer waiting on a wheel shaft replacement. And not just the passenger rear leaking, but also the driver rear is being replaced from what I would have thought was just the wheel bearing. But they said it needed the shaft assembly replaced as well.
This will be the second time my passenger rear is being replaced from the seal leaking. I believe I had less than 20k miles the first time. Now I am at close to the 60k miles. (59880ish).
The nice guy at the dealer said they would replace under warranty, but since it is so close to the 60k miles they will have to keep it until replaced. So I won't have my Gladiator at least one week. And that's no guarantee because they have to find the shaft assemblies and as of right now they are on backorder with no date on availability.
Has anyone else been in this situation? I am curious what happens if they cannot get the shaft assemblies or I am without my jeep for weeks or indefinitely.
I am going to give it a week and see what they say. I just don't know what my options are if they can't come up with the replacement parts. Could this fall into lemon law?
I'm looking at you Jeep (customer retention, cares, etc.). Help me out, please!
