I thought I’d share my Jeeps. I don’t post much, but the information on this forum is very useful. I’ve had a bunch of Jeeps over the years, mostly all of them were built very mild, but nice. I’m more of an OEM+ person.

My JT is a 2020 Rubicon. Ordered in summer of 2019. It has an AEV 2” spacer lift, Falcon shocks with 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers on AEV Borahs in Onyx. The tailgate has been de-badged with the holes filled and a respray of Sting Gray with some flush Oracle taillights. Inside, front speakers were upgraded to Terra Acoustics and a Kicker HSX 10 is tucked behind the back seat. I installed the Cover King headliner with sound deadening underneath. At some point I’ll sound deaden the rest of the cabin.

An AEV EX front bumper with a winch and some lights are next this year. I’ll probably add some molle panels in the bed. Also on-board air of some sort. I think maybe the Mopar Performance rock rails will go on and some more skids underneath.

The XJ is a 1998 Sport. I got this for my soon to be 16 year old son a couple years ago. I paid $150 for it. It was all stock and in relatively good condition.
Everything underneath was freshened up. Old Man Emu HD suspension with Bilstein 5100’s. Rough Country 1-ton steering, Core 4x4 track bar, new factory sway bar with extended links. Core 4x4 LCA’s, new Mopar UCA’s, new ball joints. Power Stop calipers and rotors and SS Tubes full brake line kit. I spent hours scraping and wire brushing the underside. Fresh undercoating and high temp paint on everything. TJ Moab 16x8 with 265/75/16 Falken AT3’s.
Interior was scrubbed good and I put in a new headliner. Roof was sound deaden, as was the rear cargo area. I’ll finish the rest of the inside when I get new carpet and the stereo gets an upgrade this spring.
The Jeep is currently in the body shop having the little bit of rust fixed and some door dings pulled before a re-color gets laid down. Once it’s back from paint I’ll install some sliders and a couple skids. Headlights were changed to Hella eCodes with Osram bulbs, still have to install the upgraded harness.
Nothing modded on the engine, but the exhaust was a disaster, so I put on a magnaflow cat and a Borla muffler with custom pipe to keep it looking stock.
My first Jeep was an ‘88 Cherokee Chief, so I thought my son’s first Jeep should also be a Cherokee Chief. We are working on a redesigned Chief badge and a few other subtle exterior touches to give it that Easter Jeep Safari concept feel that I love so much.
At some point I want to put on rear discs, re-gear and lock it. Just want to have a nice driver that can hit some mild trails with and still go to cars and coffee.

The recently acquired ZJ is a 1996 Orvis Edition. This one will be for my younger son who is 13 currently.
It was purchased a few months old by a friend’s father back in early 1997. It is completely stock, never modified. 5.2 V8 with a boat load of miles, brakes that are completely shot and some nice green leather seats that are in need of some serious attention. The paint is typical 90’s era Chrysler quality with lots of flake. And by flake, I mean the clear coat is flaking off as it cruises down the road.
The plan for this one is a full respray of the Moss Green, refresh all the mechanicals and add a small lift with new rubber bushings everywhere I find them. Bigger tires on factory restored 16” wheels and maybe a little exhaust upgrade. When this son was little, I had a 5.9 ZJ and he called it the “Rumble Jeep”, so I guess we should make this one “rumble” too.
I need to source some material for the seats, as the fronts are not so good. A headliner, somehow figure out the non-functional sunroof and some new tunes should take care of the inside. Not that a V8 Orvis is really that special or rare, you really don’t see too many on the road in good condition. My end goal is to have it be that ZJ that gets a nod from the Jeeper that knows what it is.

I like your style, and being able to give your boys something cool to drive around is always a thumbs up in my opinion.

Here’s the latest on the XJ. Fresh paint and rust repair complete. Nothing new with the JT. I sold the Orvis as it needed far too much work than I wanted to invest. A TJ will be it’s replacement In the coming weeks.
