I am picking up my Gladiator tomorrow morning. Have had 35" Falkens sitting at Discount tire for a month and rescheduled 3 times now for install. Have an install appointment set for Thursday that I don't really want to move again. Would I hurt anything by putting the larger tires on the Overland before I put the leveling kit on in a few weeks (don't have time to install until Mid October). I might have some rubbing? I will be on pavement only during this time frame. Thanks for any advice.

I had 285/75R18 Falken Wildpeaks on my Overland from the dealer.

It worked great without any rubbing at all, even at full lock.

However, for some reason, after another dealer installed my Mopar 2” lift, those same Overland rims and 285/75R18’s started rubbing on the lower control arms at full lock.

I’ve just been living with it, until I eventually decide to swap the rims (I tried wheels spacers and it was not a good experience).

So, short answer is my Overland, with stock rims and 285/75R18 Wildpeaks worked better than the same truck with a lift.

Edit:

Here’s a pic from the day I picked it up:

I like that stock on 35's better than mine on Mickey T's 33's for sure. Going with Mickey T's 35's (no lift) and we'll see how it goes. :)

Got the 35's mounted. Went with Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrains from Discount Tire Direct. Didn't do a lift or levelling kit yet, but plan to try the $99 2" levelling kit from Extreme Terrain since I have felt it bottom out once or twice over speed bumps and will be taking it off road while hunting. You can see there's plenty of room in the back but it's a little tight up front because of the stock rake. Pic attached but better ones are coming.
