So my issue is on a 2021 80th Anniversary. Backed in ti some snow the other day to turn around on a back road the other day and rear wheels spun even though I had it in 4wd Auto. The dash and offroad pages said I was in 4wd Auto. Of course wlmy winch was froze and when I went tonuse it the truck died after a short 1-2 second flick of the switch and clincidently i took the shovel out and didnt put it back in. My battery is likely due but its still going fine and check out at the bottom end of the scale. So Fun!!! Winch issues too ( ill save that for another day). The mai. Thing though is wtf is going on with my 4wd. So after digging out with a short 2x6 I had I got going and shifted bacl and forth from 2wd, 4auto, 4part time, tcase Nuetral and 4lo. The dash tells me its all good but my pedal tells me otherwise when the rear wheels spin. Anyway I monitored it the last few days seems like it will always show whichever 4wd mpde i put it in on the left aide of the dash light and sometimes the offroad pages will show its in 2wd or 4 auto but sometimes it will go to nothing showing in that spot at all. Also, if I leave it in 4wd auto it may show on the offroad pages its in but then tlwhen the resr tires spin (and traction control ahows up on dash or somtimes even when it doesnt like a short spin of the tire) it will kick out from 4wd auto to 2wd even though the shifter is still in 4wd auto. I hooked up the scanner with jscan and saw some sensors reading the 5.019 ish volts apparently the trasnfercase motor position sensor should be showing. The transfercase mode switch sensor shows around 2.37 ish volts I beilieve. Not sure what else I should be checking ir if I've already found my issue. Looking for experienced thoughts/knowledge.
I'm not sure if this is covered under the extended warranty it apparently has or not but would like to learn and figure a bit myself either way. Also another kote of importance. About a week prior I was e route to the same spot (to take my dogs out for a quick short run in the cold weather) I was going about 55-60 ish kms/hr and shifted from 2ws to 4wd auto (foot off throttle and no brake) and there was a bit of small bang and shortly after service 4wd msg. It disappeared right away and did not show up again. I scanned for codes and other than the couple Ive been aware of for awhile (low tire pressure, 3rd brake light "short") there was a "clutch position sensor" or something along those lines code stored but not active. I cleared it and thought all was good as it never showed up in stored codes again but here I am.
