What are your thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences?

I purchased a set of A Pillar light brackets that hold 2 sets of ditch lights and a 50”-52” light bar.

I’m putting a nice pair of diode dynamic ditch lights on the brackets so I don’t need the brightest or most expensive just medium of the road and reliable. Was looking at quake but have seen some mixed reviews. I think my max budget is $800 but could be flexible on that as well.

For around 500 you could go with the Diode Dynamics 50 as well.
It’s been a consideration but honestly I don’t like how they piece small sections together to make a long bar. The vertical dividers are an eye sore to me. I have one of their 18” amber bars but it’s tucked underneath the bumper

Interesting I had not considered that before. How do you like the 18 inch?

Do you really need one, I mean how often do people really use these things. Most regular a pillar lights and good set of bumper lights are all most people need. I'm not a fan of the light bars.

Needs and wants can be a fine line with a Jeep, am I wrong? lol

I’m out in CO where disperse camping is our main jam. Load up the gear, mountain bikes and fishing gear and see what adventure strikes our fancy.

With that said, if I can’t get the appropriate time off we’re leaving Denver late Friday night. In the spring and fall you are most certainly looking for a camping site in the dark.

Could my led headlights work? Certainly! But it’s way better to light up the trail in time of need!

I wasn't speaking of headlights. I did this with the 4 I got on my jeep. No headlights or fog lights. Just the the two on the windshield and the two on the bumper, my point is you can do a lot of damage light wise with smaller lights these days. That's better than a lot of 50" light bars. Over a 1/4 mile of throw as well. The railroad tracks in the distance are .30 miles away, I know because I run on that road on my lunchtime. Pictures do them no justice, I can see well beyond the railroad tracks.

Check out 4WDKING lights. They have a website, but sell on Amazon. They are quite reasonable on price. I bought one of their single row 40" light bars to attach to the front of the rack on my SmartCap. Quality seems good. So far, I have only had time to connect it to the battery to make sure it works.
