Does anyone know, if the current replacement cams and parts actually resolve the issue or is it hit or miss?
if it’s only one cylinder do you still replace all the followers, what about lash adjusters?
if exhaust lash adjusters spray/lube the intake cam, what about those?
I’d bet that in typical stealership style, if they could prove it’s only one valve tapping, they’d only replace the one.

I will say, I got lucky that my local dealership did the whole passenger side bank, put it back together, and then noticed it still had a slight tick/the start of a tick on the drivers side and so did that whole side too 🤷‍♂️

I got lucky, I feel like. This dealer is a tiny dealership probably struggling to stay open so went the extra mile to make a customer happy.

The instructions they have are to replace all of the related parts.
Replacing only one or two followers opens them up to massive issues.
They've got to pull it so far apart to do one, the labor isn't really any different.
The kits for ticking also include the cam and ALL followers.
No dealership shop is going to just replace one or two parts when they make money on all of the parts needed, and that's what the kits include. It's as much work to do one as to do them all.
