I've never heard of a catch can. What is it for?Sooooo, this is how much oil I have in the newly installed catch can after approximately 400 miles towing a 4000lb camper.
That’s a 4oz container.
Anyone think it’s something to be worried about!

And I thought all of the smart people were gone!If you want to avoid filling the catch can to the top and having to empty it frequently do what I did and add a 4ft. 1/2 drain hoes with at ball valve at the end. This will double its capacity and prevent the can from filling up and oil getting sucked into the engine.
I drain mine every 1000 miles and have never had oil in the can. Its all in the drain hose.
Running the motor hard and hot like towing will increase the amount of oil the can will collect.
You are turning more RPMs per mile, Running more fuel though the motor and the oil is a lot hotter and producing more vapor in the crank case.

This is what I used. Three option on the hose.Great idea. Or I could just leave the valve o……..never mind.
Just kidding!
I’ll be stopping by Napa for some supplies today.

I did the same but I used rubber plugs to delete the baffles.Yes I did. Redneck “performance intake tube”. Sounds good. Sounds even better with a snorkel. Sadly I don’t have a snorkel on this JT (Mojave). I made it when I had my Sport.
