A/C issues

So I have a 2023 Rubicon with the 3.6L and when driving from San Antonio to Houston or to east Texas the A/C will randomly stop blowing cold and and blows warm air. After a few minutes it starts cold again. Actually even does it a couple of times in town. What would cause this? It only has like 30,000 miles on it. Thanks

When this happens, if you turn the temp all the way down to it’s lowest setting does it start cooling again ?

I ask this because I have a funky problem on an F250 and the 25 Gladiator. When I’m at my ranch at altitude the dang vehicle thermometer gets stuck on say my morning temperature until I go back to sea-ish level and on the F250 my AC will not blow cold until it resets and on the Gladiator I can turn it to the lowest AC setting and it will blow cold. With our weather swings its a real pain in the azz. Like this morning it was 66 degrees at my ranch and its already 96 degrees now so when I start back home I have to override it. In my F250 you just role the windows down until you get back down To lower elevation.

Have you looked at the vehicle thermometer when this happens ?

Haven't checked the thermometer yet. Will do that today. Living in South Texas and temps in the 97- to 100+ temps it usually stays at the coldest setting. Have to make an appointment for the powersteering recall so I will ask them about that also. Thanks for the advice.

The coldest setting isn’t a number, says something like low. I’m not at the vehicle right now.

What made me try that is from the good old days of AMC/Jeep when it had some sub setting on the AC for dry climates. Can’t remember what it was called either.

Good luck with the dealer, been fighting the issue on my F250 for years.

This is a known issue and there's techincal bulletin NUMBER: 24-007-21 for it.

My local dealer would not do the bulletin for me. Said it was normal.

I turn on the recirculating air button while its hot and that helps a little.
