So, I just got back on a road trip from OH to NYC and while driving at night I ran into a somewhat unique problem. I kept seeing the reflection of the UConnect display on my left side drivers window and it was totally not allowing good visibility on the side view mirrors. I tried to reduce the display and it still was not enough. is there a way to completely dim it or maybe even turn the display off but let the Sirius radio station or CarPlay Spotify music play on?

I tried different themes and tried to reduce the display to 1 from 10 and it still was pretty bright.

My only issue with the screen off button... the screen is still not off! It’s still a grey haze of lit screen that still shines on the windows... ugh.

I worked in the 12volt industry for 15 years and every... every screen I’ve ever owned has had a screen off feature where it blanks the screen out just like if you powered off the unit...

In this day and age of technology... we should have a total screen blank out capability! It’s sooo annoying that we dont.

I've never noticed this to be a problem. I have my seat back as far as it will go, with it pretty much straight up (not leaning back). I've done several long road trips, with over half of it night driving.

Window tint exacerbates this issue, which is one of the reasons I hate window tint on the forward windows.
