So many threads on non-ACC mounted rearview mirrors but and people asking in those threads asking about doing this on ACC rearview mirrors but never answered.

I’m thinking of doing this if there’s a solution. It’s always been an issue that the box and mirror can get in the way in certain situations so hopefully someone has come up with a solution? My seat is as low as it gets and I’m just more torso tall than leg tall I guess at 6’ 1”.

For me it’s always:
  • On-ramp traffic that lines up perfectly in the box/mirror blind spot. That’s always a late surprise if you’re not actively looking around the box/mirror and it happens more than you’d think!
  • Mountain driving with hard turns to the right. Can’t see the road very well unless I lean way into the turn, lean out of the turn or duck down to see under the box to see animals, rocks, stopped traffic, cyclists, etc.
I’ve learned to live with it over the years and move my vision around it in those situations but if someone has figured this out I’d be ecstatic!
