Simple bluetooth will work. Just pair your phone and don't plug it into Carplay.

I thought there was a YT app within UConnect kinda like XBox and Roku... I guess not. I can just use the Phone via BT.

Carplay is pretty barebones still, maybe on purpose. It took a long time for Apple to even allow Waze to work with Carplay.
