I recently installed some second hand rock sliders on my JT. I watched the video from thier site for the install.
I had a question about the bolts/connecting points used: one if the bolts was a real pia to remove. Lookong at the threads after I finally got it off it seems it had red locktite on it! And others seemed to have a hint of blue locktite on them.
And after torquing the bolts back on to 85 ft lb I was wondering if torque alone is sufficient. It seems these mounting points all have bushings. What is to keep those bolts from backing off? Maybe they should all have some blue locktite on them?
Thoughts?
