Hey all! So just to get all the haters out of the way first thing - my wife and I are more of the "show and shine" people than hardcore offroaders, so if that digusts you, feel free to click Back.

I'm looking at installing multiple exterior light kits (rock lights, pod lights, grille inserts, etc) but every kit seems to have its own app, its own remote control, or its own way of doing things for lack of a better term. Does anyone know if there is a particular brand or product line out there that minimizes the amount of crap you have to deal with after installation?

For instance, let's say I buy both rock lights and grille insert lights from one company. Is there a company out there that gives me the ability to control BOTH sets of lights, either with a single remote, or by selecting which set of lights I'm connected to in the app?

Don't know anything about a company that makes a single app, but if you want everything wired to one switch, and you like a "factory" look, Voswitch makes a few different kits. I personally have a JL400, 95% reversible too if I decide to go a different direction (hole drilled in the plastic grab handle that will be covered up if returned to stock). I have a set of Pro-Comp lights and Rigid lights playing nicely together for the time being, although both of those lights are "dumb" lights, no app controls.

They also have lower dash kits in 6 and 12 button flavors. Fully configurable (buttons are stickers).

Thanks. I've looked at a lot of the Voswitch stuff when I was shopping for aux buttons, but eventually installed the Mopar ones. I guess what I'm looking for is more regarding controlling the lights after I've already turned them on with whatever aux switch I have them wired to.

Like, changing colors, patterns, sync to music, stuff like that. Carrying two remote controls around wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm just curious if there's something more slick out there that I haven't seen/heard of.

If you really want that ease of use, I'd check out Fiverr and see if someone would be willing to design you an all-inclusive app that could work with your phone.
Then you could just add bluetooth access you and your spouses phone.

Would that be worthwhile?

That seems a bit extreme for what I'm looking to do. The "problem" I'm trying to avoid is a minor inconvenience at best. I'm just trying to avoid digging myself into a hole if I can help it - that's all.

Ahh, ok. I gotcha. Figured I'd throw it out there anyway :)
