Does anyone have experience with the AEV RT 3” lift with High Capacity Springs and not carry a consistent heavy load? How is the ride? I plan to one day get a rooftop tent but I don’t yet. I currently have the arb deluxe bumpers which are pretty heavy along with a winch, bed carries recovery gear and camping equipment but I don’t always have that. I’d rather just get the high capacity springs since I’ll eventually need them, but would hate to have a horrible ride for long trips until then.

I have the Clayton 2.5 HD springs and feel like they ride great. I think springs do more for height than ride, compared to shocks.
I started with spacer lift on JTR, which rode soft/floaty stock. Can’t see what model you have, but rubicon I think is the softest. As I added mods I became too heavy and overloaded shocks and got bad ride, and lost my lift height (overloaded springs).
Replacing springs gave me back lift and I didn’t notice that much of a difference on ride.
A different day when I had time I changed shocks and those made huge difference to ride.

I debated long and hard as to which set of springs to get with my AEV lift. In the end I decided to get the standard heavier duty 2.5” set and so far am very happy with them.
My day to day driving includes an Alu-Cab canopy with a custom drawer set inside and a water tank which is usually empty. I also have a 17 gallon LRA auxiliary gas tank underneath which usually has fuel in it.
I bought the set up to be able to use my RTT and 270 degree awning although I haven’t used them yet but am sure that it will be able to handle the additional load.
The driving experience has been transformed compared to the stock Rubicon set up.

This is how it looks with the stock (and worn) 33” OEM tires on it…
