How much weight do you carry? Also, did you get longer sway bar end links?
When loaded about 800lbs

I really like the ride with the icon shocks and springs, huge improvement on the road with the bounciness. Hope to try some washboard FS roads this weekend to see how that goes.

I bought the ICON relocation plates for the rear swaybars, probably do the MOPAR lift extensions for the front.

I did fight the whole lift thing, but all of the traffic from the both the small wheel atv's and guys running 37/40's are almost making a lift mandatory.

I have the AEV kit I'm installing this weekend. I don't think my wife has any idea what's coming...lol. Good thing she doesn't ride in my rig too much on the daily.
‘If you don’t mind please measure from the top of the tire to the fender for all tires. That way I can see how much the actual rise will be.
I found a step that is spring actuated that will work with the Rubicon rock rail. I have ordered one and will install it this weekend hopefully to see how my wife likes it ?. Then we will continue the soft sell to upgrade the suspension…

Who knows, maybe I’ll put a bow on it and tell her it’s her Mother’s Day Present..?

Check out dobinson USA. They have several heavy duty spring variants that will support extra weight at around stock ride height

I'm going to add these to mine. I put them on my Ram 1500 and they were perfect. I can easily adjust them as needed and they are easy to install,if you watch the company provided how to video

Those are the ones I’m currently running. Just as an fyi I went camping with my son and his family last weekend and pretty much loaded out (not as much as when we are really overlanding) I had to put 40 psi in the bags to level the truck out. I towed my RTT with a bunch of stuff in my trailer so not all that much weight in the truck itself…

I’d rather not have a lift if I can help it…or maybe just an inch or so if necessary.

We overland quite a bit and the Rubicon’s suspension, particularly the rear is terrible. My wife is short and I’m not interested in a set of steps so here I am.

Has anyone found a set of springs that would allow for an additional 600 pounds of capacity? I know that I’ll need to upgrade the shocks and will be going with a set of Bilstein 5100’s.

Thanks!
My recommendation would be for you to go to a local shop (in my case, it was a local off-road shop) and see if they can work with someone like Deaver Springs:
https://deaverspring.com/

I had scaled my vehicle and knew what weight I had on the rear axle. The local shop worked with Deaver Springs to order custom springs made for that weight in the operating range.

Unfortunately I can’t tell you what the exact cost was because it was done as part of my Icon lift; however the upcharge was only $600.

I’d recommend going this route rather than spend a lot of time and money with trial and error.

Quick update on my lift since there was some interest. I didn't take measurements all around yet, or pics for that matter. I'm giving it time to settle a little, but wow. If you didn't want too much lift, don't go this route (AEV 2.5" RT). I love it and think it rides great, but holy jacked batman.

your rig must be relatively unloaded then? I have had my AEV with the standard duty springs for a week now and loaded I not excessively high. did you torque the control arms with it on the ground?

Yup, everything done under load. You don't think it's high? Like I'm not tall at all anyway, but have to climb in. I knew this going in too though. I've heard others saying that you pick up much more than the 2.5" which I also believe AEV claims is the "loaded" height rating. I have the Smartcap on order and will be loading the rear so anticipating some drop there. Grateful I didn't do the HD though. Managed to grab a shot on approach last night at the train.

yeah see you are unloaded, so it does look high. I am also pretty short and did not want a super tall lift. I have posted about that in a few different threads after doing some extensive research on different lifts. AEV claims for the standard duty springs 2.5“ when fully loaded to that spring capacity. so being unloaded you are getting more than 2.5”. I myself am currently sitting a little under GVW, somewhere around 6,850 pounds, and have less lift than your picture shows. (Although I failed to take pre-lift measurements so cant give an exact number). As you load up it will not be as tall. It all depends on how much weight you have and if you have the SD or HD springs. At least its not like other lifts that advertise 3” and give you 4.5”. Thats a huge difference. I think AEV is more accurate to their claims than others.

if somebody out there has a unloaded stock off the lot rubicon with a hard top and willing to take measurements we could all compare and that would be pretty cool

pre lift bone stock and post lift loaded to a little under gvw

just as a data point, i was running RK +3" springs in the back of mine while running a ARE cap, metal molle panels and about 200lbs of tools and crap in the back of mine and was getting squat. I switched to +4.5" springs which leveled her out. Granted if i strip everything off she will have a higher rear end.

You can always go with a taller spring or spacer to add some preload to the rear to counter your everyday loaded weight.

Give it a couple weeks to settle too.
