I mounted Lasfit ARB clone compressor using some scavenged materials. Stainless base used to be BBq side table - turned it over to serve as tray and added some HD stainless screen from metal vendor scrap pile to protect compressor from cargo shifts and keep items from touching the hot heads after use.
My wiring plan is to run 0 gauge aluminum wire from battery positive thru 100 amp fuse from battery then to solenoid controlled by Voswitch A pillar setup. From solenoid to post under bed. Stock wiring from compressor will go thru grommet to chassis ground and post.
I appreciate any input! Trying to find place to mount solenoid (marine version / weatherproof) near battery. Not much real estate available. I guess it doesn't matter if it is a few extra feet away? Thanks for looking!
Carbon bulkhead plate works great for strapping gear bags. only weighs @ 4#.

Thanks, I worked on boats for 20 years before "real job" so learned lots of fabrication skills . I enjoy re-purposing things and diy. A few things haven't worked out like I planned. I mounted large pelican rifle case between roof racks on aft end of hardtop and it disrupted air flow so much that sunrider top flapped like crazy and was super noisy at 60 mph. My wife took the truck on road trip to Vegas with a girlfriend and I guess the noise was unbearable. live and learn.

Solenoid location doesn’t matter as long as it’s big enough to support the current. I have a 200a running my bed mounted compressor and it’s right beside the compressor in the bed with plastic nut protectors over the connections just in case something hits it so it won’t arc.

0g is a bit overkill, 4g ofc is plenty, easier to manage, and you won’t come close to the max current of it with a short of a run it is in a gladiator from battery to bed.
