I could use some help here. This question should be ridiculously easy for me to find/figure out on my own but I have failed miserably.

I’m installing this Viair VMS dual compressor system and I cannot figure out how/where to wire the switch wiring into this harness.

I say switch wiring because I have an sPOD so I will be connecting the other ends to the sPOD itself. Thankfully I’m at least competent enough to do that.

I just don’t understand where/how to wire the switch into the harness itself.

If someone, anyone could help a Brother out, I’d really appreciate it.

And please break it down Barney Style. I’m not a smart man (but I know what love is).

BTW, no lockers or anything so this should be super basic and easy, and for most I’m sure it is.

Sorry about the duplicate pictures, clearly an indicator of why I’m struggling here. 🤷🏽‍♂️

If you are going to use an sPOD output to turn the compressors on and off, then you won't use the supplied rocker switch at all.

The wiring diagram / schematic shows a pressure switch but the photos don't show where that is at in your setup. Is it on a remote air tank or some kind of air manifold?

You'll need to wire the sPOD output to one of the terminals of that pressure switch, and the other terminal of the pressure switch to the green wire in the wiring harness that goes to the two relays.

Thanks for the response!

So that’s the part I’m having trouble understanding. I actually will not have a tank, thus no pressure switch.

As you wrote, In past installs to sPod, I just cut off the switch and connect the wires directly, but the switch was usually prewired into the harness or I used some type of relay and built the wire myself.

For this install, the switch is separate and the harness is already built for dual compressors with relays and a fuse already installed.

So, I guess my question should have been:

“How do I wire the Viair VMS to sPod that I’m using as the switch if I don’t have a tank/pressure switch?”

Thanks again for any help!

Rocker has green, red and black.

Black is ground for the LED backlight on the switch.

Green and red is what you want. Red to your SPOD relay. For the missing pressure switch - just remove it and connect the two greens together.
