Great point! I was not understanding TSB vs recall. so its up to discretion of dealer. Thanks for the clarity. I will check in w local svc manager and see how they feel about it.
First step is road balance the tires as they are due for rotation.
I'm starting to get some wandering in steering (2020 sport S, 33's, Mopar lift. @ 17k miles) I'm going to take it to the dealer for TSB steering box replacement and wondering if I should remove aftermarket Apex disconnects, track bar, and wheel spacers before taking to the dealership. Would...
Dead pedal & phone holder would be some of their first mods I would do considering your planned use.
I just installed EZ 4x4 flip top today so I don't have to store freedom panels when going topless. I tried the Sunrider but too noisy for me. Per install need to wait 24 hrs to test so adhesive...
1. Apex disconnects
2. Tires
3. Mopar lift
4. trailer brake
5. Asfir engine /trans skid
My EZE flip top hinges just arrived, I'll share how it goes on the install this weekend.
Mine will be delivered tomorrow, install this weekend. My sunrider is a bit noisy on the 2 hour treks to get to desert or mountains from my house. I 'm looking forward to getting it done! Brian at EZE4x4 was very engaging to speak with when I wanted to confirm no interference with headache rack.
all done! tonneau trimmed and made a foam /canvas soft cover across the top.
Grandmonsters (11yr old twin boys) will be here when schools out, then it will be tested with surfboards, paddle boards, inflatable boat. I'm looking forward to it!
Thanks, I wanted it to look like OEM truck profile.
It wont move to tailgate, I might make something for that later. I will use roof rack to keep boards aloft when just going the mile to the beach and marina. Otherwise lean them from bed to rack.
I used full can of primer and 3 coats...
I have had great results with a used Mopar lift , front track bar, and new Eibach shocks. I went with Mopar lift as the dealer agreed that it would not void warranty on suspension. I have also heard of insurance companies refusing payments due to "altered vehicle". I run 33's and skid plates...
I really didn't like any of the racks I found available. So my welding neighbor and I are fabricating this out of aluminum.
I will paint it with a bed liner to try and match satin cab. I wanted low profile and something to manage inflatable boat, paddle boards, home Depot trips, etc. only 10 #...
I disconnected aux battery neg lead at main battery and taped it off. no issues except warning light on dash. why do I need to pull fuse #42? will this make the light go away or something more?
Thanks, I worked on boats for 20 years before "real job" so learned lots of fabrication skills . I enjoy re-purposing things and diy. A few things haven't worked out like I planned. I mounted large pelican rifle case between roof racks on aft end of hardtop and it disrupted air flow so much that...
I use a 100amp lithium battery, 30amp ac charger, 2000w inverter in this milk crate for portable power. I have an extra 100 amp battery to bring along if needed. This keeps it portable for boat and camping. I charge with Honda generator and folding solar panels depending on application. yes the...
bought a small drone to "look ahead" on trails and determine if path is washed out or passable. Made the wife happy as we recently went down a trail that really freaked her out and bent the engine /trans skid. It will be cool for pictures and videos as well.
I used a heavy duty angle bracket thru bolted to floor and drilled 5/8" hole to accommodate trailer hitch lock that has large washer welded to it to create rifle lock thru the trigger guard. I can place rifle under or in front of back seat and lock it up. s secure and out of sight, quick to...
Jaymax, the skid is definitely scratched from Mohave rocks that day and it does look a bit bent, I'll have to take a closer look. I appreciate the badge comment! I put 5 skids on my Liberty and took it everywhere. always felt safer and never damaged anything.
Janster, I get your point about...
After our last excursion in Mohave desert getting into some pretty challenging rock crawling with a few rock strikes underneath and scaring the wife it was a great feeling having her say " thank God you installed the skids and lift kit" after questioning " do we really need that?" when I bought...
my in bed solution
My in bed solution, plenty of ventilation and hard wired to relay / Voswitch. I use 2 chuck system and do 2 at a time, quick / ez and not as many hoses to stow / untangle. I have 33" tire so super fast, doesn't even get hot.
