I'm starting to get some wandering in steering (2020 sport S, 33's, Mopar lift. @ 17k miles) I'm going to take it to the dealer for TSB steering box replacement and wondering if I should remove aftermarket Apex disconnects, track bar, and wheel spacers before taking to the dealership. Would these additions void warranty?
Anyone get this replacement completed with modified suspension? Thanks in advance for your engagement. Dave

You would be out of warranty being a 2020 and a TSB is not a recall?

Unless you have some sort of extended warranty to worry about, any aftermarket mods being present aren't of any concern. While a recall requires the manufacturer to replace/repair free of charge, a TSB simply guides how to repair something that is outside the normal scope of the service manual procedures... it does not normally get done for free once the warranty expires, you'll have to pay standard service and parts charges.

Great point! I was not understanding TSB vs recall. so its up to discretion of dealer. Thanks for the clarity. I will check in w local svc manager and see how they feel about it.
First step is road balance the tires as they are due for rotation.

I cant believe you still have an aluminum part box. I thought all the early models had been fixed by now.

Nah they’re still out there. Some people think “it’s just a Jeep thing” and deal with it. Mine was awful and I knew it wasn’t right because it was so much worse than the three other SFA Jeeps I’d had before it.

2020 Mojave 78k miles here with the original aluminum steering box. I get a little wander but it's nothing concerning, for me at least. TBH I think I get more wander because I tend to look around when I'm driving and apparently my hands follow my head 😂. But seriously, mine isn't very bad at all.

For future......is there an aftermarket product that I could look towards or should I just grab a MOPAR box and call it done?

I still have mine on a 2020 JTR, figured since I had no dead spots or wonder I would leave good enough alone. 73000 miles and still going strong, of course I am not running 37 or 40 inch tires

It was awful with 32s. Night and day worse than my JKU Rubicon.

I would recommend the Synergy sector shaft brace, I believe is is a stronger solution than some of the other braces that are available.
