Definitely recommend @Clayton Off Road ! I will be towing a 6000 lb travel trailer with mine and decided on Clayton by talking to James and my shop and the triple rated rear springs are amazing. The ride quality and parts quality is top notch also.

@Clayton Off Road .....the 1.5" kit interests me. I want to stay close to factory rubicon height after i install bumper/winch and tools etc in the bed....will the 1.5 be just springs?

reviving this thread as it now pertains to my interest. I just put my deposit on an Ovrlnd canopy camper and really don't want/need a lift.

@dsundy - what did you end up doing?

@PsyRN Update to my current set up-
160 lb. Torro RTT
40? lb annex
60 lb. MaxModular rack
30 lb. recovery boards (2 sets)
35 lb. Rotopax gas cans
1M lbs. wife's camping crap including but not limited to- propane hot water/shower, portable toilet, Coleman stove, camp kitchen table, folding picnic table with seats, folding side tables for annex, fans, ZeroBreeze a/c; my daughters cot, clothes, etc..
Cooler full of food
my spare pair of shoes

I added airbags and LOVE them!

With normal gear, I drop about 1.5"-so it looks level. On our return trip from Disney last year, we were about 3" lower than empty- a little squat. Tons of gear (see above), souvenirs, and water-lots of water after a week of rain. Came home and ordered air-bags.
Now loaded or towing I can adjust for squat and it has really cut down on the swaying. Just remember to deflate before the trail for articulation or stay inflated for clearance.

If you want a lift or are planning on serious trails with constant weight, Clayton seems to have that all dialed in. It's what they do.
If you want to be able to account for a few extra pounds now and again, air-bag it.
(I think that there is even a set in the for sale forum.) Fairly quick easy install, takes longer to run the airline than to install the bags. For the price you can try them and ditch them if you don't like them.

Full camping load no airbags.

Hey all - I actually haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet. Been waiting for that tax return :)

I have noticed that the Jeep is very floaty. When I hit bumps or uneven pavement you get a lot of bounce in the suspension and side to side motion - more than I expected actually since the payload on my particular Jeep is 1,220lbs and the Super Pacific weighs in at 348 (plus probably 70-100lbs of other gear that lives in the back).

Based on this I’ll probably end up with the Clayton system eventually. I think they released a 1.5” ride height, so need to do some scoping on that since I really want to avoid adding height if I can due to the garage (and the fact that I’m only rocking 35’s and I don’t want them to look tiny ha!)

Anyone here go with Clayton 1.5”? Thoughts?

@dsundy Seriously spend the $60-100 on a set of bags and try them. Figure an hour or less for install.

We are running the AEV 2.5", it was a night & day difference from stock Rubicon suspension.

Looking at the Clayton site, I can only find front springs in 1.5". How would that help with sway in the rear. I've also seen folks add a Hellwig rear sway bar, have you looked at that as an option?

Guess I never saw this! 1.5" leveling kits are available on the site now, and springs are also available to purchase individually :like:
