i have the 240 amp alternator on my JT. Does anyone know what amperage output can be achieved at engine idle speeds?
Is there an ammeter/battery, charge/discharge gauge that can be conjured up in screen/dash settings?

No, just a volt meter gauge.

No you wouldn’t be able to get full output at idle speed, probably need to goose it to 1500-2000rpm to excite it enough. 240A is going to throw some heat and you will need the unit moving briskly to flow the air for cooling.
