I have fuse 42 pulled and aux neg cable isolated goingon 2 years. Hood plunger disabled. Not a single issue other than avenger light on.
I just recently performed the bypass on my 2020 JT. I disabled the auto Stop/stary with a tazer back in 2020. Now in 1024 I am getting the "service auto stop/start" warning. I was hoping to not see this. Even after I have removed the negative aux battery cable, and pulled the fuse, I still see the warning. Hoping I wouldn't. It's not the end of the world, but it is a little annoying as in my ADD brain I still feel like there is an issue thats going to leave me stranded.

You can stop it from turning off the engine, but ESS cannot be disabled. The message is a warning that you have an electrical issue that needs investigated. Usually, it means time for battery replacement.

Could be. This just popped up two days ago, and I bypassed the aux battery today. I've replaced the main battery about 12 months ago. Never changed out the aux battery since I purchased in 2020. The voltage on the main battery appears to be okay, and charging voltage is the same as always. I'll keep testing.

I had the same happen about a month ago. The avenger light came on and I assumed it was because the aux was on its way out. I bypassed the aux battery like most do on here and the avenger light still remained on. So I reset the IBS, and after that, the light was gone. No messages, errors, or anything wonky. Everything operates as normal with exception of the aux no longer in the loop

Perfect. Thank you. I will give that a try.

Just make sure you have the IBS disconnected for at least 10 minutes (some have unplugged the just the IBS connector, but I thought it was easier to just remove the negative terminal from the main battery). Also keep in mind that your UConnect stuff might not be available right away and may take 30 minutes to a few hours to re-populate depending on your location to satellite services and the what nots

I have had the service auto stop start message since my aux bypass 2 years ago. Havent had any issues. I suspect the message is because I disconnected the hood plunger so I dont need to push the ASS dash button

You guys that are removing the aux battery negative lead, what are you doing with the end?

i have a 21 and tested the aux lead to be the one that has the large terminal with post the other negative attaches to.

the large terminal screws down on the smaller post with what i am assuming in the IBS on the negative battery post hold down clamp?

what are to doing with the main negative lead? Screwing it down to the smaller post of the IBS?
