All I have a 2022 sport s ecodiesel and I will be running 38" patagonia on a metal cloak 3.5" lift.

How many bump stop pucks or how many inches of bump stop for sport s fenders and 38's?

Trying to get a baseline on what people use as I believe metal cloak has way too much bump stop spec'd in their instructions.

I am running taller falcon bump stops so I wont need so much lower puck.

Thanks!

A LOT. This is a 3.5” spring with 3 hockey pucks and 35s. The 13.5 width of that 38 isn’t going to help your cause either. It’s a different story if you never disco.

I needed 2 pucks for my metalcloak 3.5 with the RockSport shocks and 35s but it's going to be entirely dependent on your setup. You need to make sure you don't rub tires but you also need to make sure you don't bottom out your shocks.

The problem is going too many means you engage too often and that stresses your frame. Too few and you hit things you don't want to hit.

If you want it done right, you'll need shop time with a lift. If you want good enough and aren't wheeling hard you can probably toss 4 in there and call it a day. Just be weary if you wheel hard.

Thank you. Unfortunately I do not have the wheels/tires and am looking for a good baseline for the out of the gate setting. I have the falcon extended bump stops which are about .5" taller not sure if that will reduce the amount of pucks I need.

Clearly the sport s fenders are going to have to go bye bye for 38's offroad. :\ oh well.

If you remove the fender bottoms would that require less bump stop?

I need as much up travel as possible due to hitting whoops when snow wheeling. sometimes a square edge can cause bottoming at higher speeds.

My stock sport s maxtow with spacers and 35's did totally fine but didnt have enough up travel.

Hoping the tall metal cloak springs will give me some headroom but if I have to bump stop and add 3" theres no way its probably smarter to go with fender deletes.

A fender chop would be the minimum to keep up travel reasonable. TJmitchell on here runs that tire size with approximately the same lift on a rubicon and it works, so sourcing a set of front Rubi/Mojave flares is another option.

Very likely not. My Timbrens in the rear are like an inch longer than stock and they're designed to engage earlier and often... I'd imagine a lot of other aftermarket bumps are built with the same intent.

I need as much up travel as possible due to hitting whoops when snow wheeling. sometimes a square edge can cause bottoming at higher speeds.
On that note I'd recommend Timbrens as well or, if you have the money, some 2.0 Fox bumps. Fender clearance is an issue of articulation while your swaybar is disconnected but if you're worried about bottoming out on somewhat level terrain, I'm assuming you're still connected and you can be a lot more aggressive on the pucks.
