Ok first time using Android auto. I can't see to locate where it would alert with a sound it saying message from. I see it shows a pop up on the screen showing a message from only if I am in Android auto on uconnect. Maybe that is just how it is supposed to be.

I have uconnect with the 8.4 inch screen

Thanks love the Jeep already. Missed driving with the too down

Plugged in via usb and everything. I do keep my phone on vibrate maybe that is the reason. Or there is a setting

Downloaded an older version of Android auto. Got message sounds and everything. But it now messed something up. Went out to go to Wawa and now my Jeep says device not supported. It was just working 2 hours ago. I got a new cable and everything. Still nothing. I may have to wipe my phone to see if that is the issue.

Did you get this resolved OP? I run Android Auto in my Fiesta ST and across a number of rental cars I use for work. No issue with alerts if the phone isn't silenced.

I love Android Auto. Specifically for Waze and Spotify. For messaging I only use Signal. So I get notifications but can't play them. Nor do I want to.

If you're trying to get Android Auto to work, you might try turning your developer options on and off on your phone.

I messed around a couple hours trying different cables etc. Final I found something online that wasn't exactly the same problem but someone said to turn it off. Long story short I turn it off and on a few times, left it on and it worked.

I'm having issues when my Samsung S10+ is connected via USB to the gladiator. Android auto takes over which is good and things work well EXCEPT phone calls. I cannot use the steering wheel controls to answer nor end calls. I cannot see on the display (8.4 inch) who is calling me and again cant answer. when I disconnect the phone from the USB port and the device switches to bluetooth and everything works fine. Does anyone have any guidance on what the problem may be with android auto? Or what I may be doing wrong?

There is definitely something wrong in the UConnect software. AA works every now and then for my Note10+ but when it decides to flash "Device not Supported" there is no way to get it working again until the ECU shuts off after not using the car for 30+ mins. Once it fully shuts off and comes back - AA will work again. This shows that it's not the phone or the cord - but something getting confused in the Uconnect software where it "holds on" to an error and won't clear it. It would be nice if Jeep allows you to "reboot" the software which would cycle the memory to get it cleared.
